Research On Mao Zedong's Industrial Development Strategy Thought

Industrialization,which means “to abolish manual labor and adopt machine labor”,is an unavoidable developing process that any modern country must go through.The difference between Europe and the United States and China is that China's industrialization process was forced to start in the invasion of western powers.To establish an independent and unified industrial power,to save the nation in danger,numerous high ideals advanced wave upon wave to explore the road of being powerful and learn advanced science and technology from the west.However,the long wish has never been accomplished,China remains poor,weak and humiliated.Till October 1949,Mao Zedong led the Chinese people to establish a new China,the real sense of industrialization came.Under the leadership of Mao Zedong after the establishment of new China,China started a large scale of socialist industrialization.in the whole country and made progress in the trial and error.After over thirty years' development,China has established a basically independent and complete industrial system and achieved the initial goal of industrialization which made laid a good foundation for the subsequent economic take-off.Looking back at the turns and twists industrial development course in the past 30 years,we do accumulated lots of successful experience,but it also produced mistakes and lessons learned.In fact,in the process of exploring socialist industrialization,Mao Zedong has proposed many constructive ideas.Starting from the actual conditions in China,Mao Zedong proposed the socialist economic construction policy that priority should be given to the development of heavy industry,but the development of agricultural and light industry should also be paid special attention.Specially,building China into an industrial state actually includes the idea of agricultural modernization.Finally,he gradually established the road of industrialization in China---“take agriculture as the base and industry as the leading”.In 1956,to make faster and greater development of industry,he proposed the slogan of marching toward science and vigorously developing science and technology.To change the imbalance of industrial structure and ensure the coordinated development of economy,Mao Zedong presented that the industry in the mainland must be developed vigorously,and the relations between the mainland and the coastal areas should be handled correctly.He also leaded the construction of the “third line” personally.Meanwhile,Mao Zedong also pointed out China's development cannot be separated from the outside world.He emphasized that we should learn the advanced technology and ideas from the foreign countries and cooperated with other countries in economy actively as well as communicated with them as often as possible.All those ideas not only makes strong guidance of the development of industry at that time,but also directed the formation of the socialist road with Chinese characteristics and the development of the “reform and opening-up policy”.Industrialization is a comprehensive issue which involves many aspects,including the agricultural development,science and technology development,regional development,opening up and economic growth,economic system and reform and so on.Basing on the aspects mentioned above following history of the new China's industrialization development,and adhering to the principle of the unity of historic and logical,this thesis aims to summarize Mao Zedong's efforts on the exploration of industrialization construction in new China and his constructive ideas and effective developing measures by retrospective and other methods.Thus,to make some certain help in today's socialist industrialization and modernization.
