For army,there is no difference between peacetime and wartime since they are at war or preparing for a war.Generally,the outcome of a war largely depends on pre-war preparation.To make full preparation,a strong and prosperous army is a prerequisite.The army can be boosted through talent training.Military academy’s MAP is an important part of new combat force.Its education and training affects the formation of our army’s new combat force.Studying the MAP cultivation model of military academy is of great significance to explore characteristics and rules of military academy’s MAP education and training,promote the reform of military graduateeducation reform and development as well as enhance the quality of the Chinese army’s high-quality new military talent training.The researcher summarizes and constructs the conceptual framework of the “cultivation model” studies through referring to relevant literature and adopting content analysis.The“cultivation model” is a talent training system consisting of five factors,e.g.,“cultivation objective”,“curriculum setting”,“teaching method”,“faculty” and “quality management”.This research discusses about the current situation,problems and improvement requirements of military academy’s MAP cultivation model.The specific research questions are:what is the current situation,problems and improvement requirements of the cultivation objectives of military academy’s MAP? What is the current situation,problems and improvement requirements of military academy’s MAP curriculum setting? What is the current situation,problems and improvement requirements of military academy’s MAP teaching method? What is the current situation,problems and improvement requirements of military academy’s MAP faculty? What is the current situation,problems and improvement requirements of military academy’s MAP quality management? On the basis of research,the researcher makes an attempt to establish a MAP cultivation model which is based in the actual combat background,different from local colleges and universities and with characteristics of the Chinese army.According to the conceptual framework and research questions of the “cultivationmodel”,the researcher designs the outline for questionnaire and interview.With the research object of the whole military academy’s MAP graduate students,totaling 81,the questionnaire is conducted.Interviews are organized facing 45 military educational experts,military educationists,staffs of force and some MAP graduate students,including 15 military educational experts,10 military education workers,10 force members and 10 MAP graduate students.Besides,a comparative analysis is conducted to texts of Applied Master of Psychology Talent Training Program of military academies and local higher educational institutions.The research finds: compared with the MAP cultivation model of local higher educational institutions,military academies attach more importance to characteristics of military education and particularity of military career,focus on meeting the needs of army modernization construction and preparation of military combat and value the building of troop’s combating capacity.However,in terms of military academy’s MAP program,insufficient efforts are made for publicity& education and implementation;uneven system settings are fulfilled;the occupational characteristics of a professional master are not outstanding and innovative spirit is less developed;as for curriculum setting,the proportion of optional course needs to be optimized and the setting of professional courses is subject and not standardized.The correlation between course objective and training objective needs to be improved,training,research and combating integration are insufficient and the system is incomplete;as to teaching method,the implementation effect of case teaching is not desirable,lacking practice in troops and implementation in practice.Inadequate overall planning is made to vocational capacity development and basic theoretical education.And fewer training practices are organized in teaching;in the perspective of faculty,troop instructors do not offer enough instructions.Instructors of most academies employ academic teaching method,which affects the teaching effectiveness;from the angle of quality management,training quality feedback mechanism is incomplete,the assessment mode fails to meet the requirement of professional degree training,teaching and management are not combined well and less overall consideration is given to quality management.Military academies do not organically combine military training,research and combat in the MAP education and training process,which leads to a gap between the reality and actual requirements.In line with requirements of adapting to practical combat,the following improvements should be made to the MAP cultivation mode of military academies: to focus on job requirements in terms of cultivation objectives,embody professional quality and insist on developing combat force standards and innovative spirit;to target practical combats in curriculum setting,highlight the course’s shaping of students’ job abilities and establish a core curriculum system;to stand out the core position of case teaching in teaching method,strengthen efforts in practical teaching and give full play to the role of question-oriented teaching;to update instructors’ educational philosophy in terms of faculty,enrich their teaching experience and help graduate students integrate into the troop;to implement full-process quality process and improve assessment mechanism in terms of quality management.The research finds that to improve the MAP cultivation model of military academies in the background of practical combat.The training must further get close and adapt to requirements of practical combat as well as organically combine military training,research and combat.Therefore,on the basis of referring to research results of educational neuroscience,immersion theory and system science theory,the research attempts to establish the MAP training-research cultivation mode of military academies,analyzes the mode’s fundamental structure,main content and security measures.The fundamental structure of the model is: training-research-combat cultivation model is the one integrating training,research and combat,focusing on training and having two wings of research and combat.“Training” means military academy organizes simulation training,comprehensive rehearsal,directed operation and troop drills.Through training,graduate students are enabled to increase their knowledge and skills;“research” means studies are conducted on troops,mainly actual problems,difficulties and hot issues.Coming from troop studies and returning to troop studies,it can encourage graduate students to study problems in line with practical combats;“combat” refers to military task and mission.Students are organized to participate in military actions,complete major military tasks.Graduate students’ sense of mission is strengthened through military tasks and combat actions,and thereby their core military combat capability can be further improved.The main contents of the mode contain: cultivation objectives should focus on practical combat and generation of professional capability;the combined course and training system of “module combination + classic module selection” must be established based on the job core capability model in the perspective of curriculum setting;mind immersion teaching and training will be employed in teaching process while training-centered military anchor will be highlighted to construct the teaching process that can facilitate the operation of dual-track mental model;for instructor team building,instructors’ workmanship spirit will be developed,and their responsibility of boosting the force,attention to combat and battlefield and pursuit for excellence of skills and techniques should be underlined;a full-process quality control system,self-evaluation system and degree thesis evaluation index system will be formulated.The safeguard measures of the mode include: to build a full-army MAP cultivation and development community;set up a troop MAP graduate student workstation and implement MAP faculty and student improvement project in military academies.The future battlefield is unforeseen,combat situation is ever-changing and combat tactics will be updated all the time.Uncertainties,nonlinear and complexness affect the tendency and progress of war.Only after adapting to this tendency and changes,can a country survive from the future battlefield.Thus,the reform of military academy’s cultivation mode is imperative.The thesis’ s research results and proposed MAP training-research-combat cultivation model is just a preliminary exploration.Other questions regarding the research need to be furtherdiscussed,e.g.,how can the cultivation mode better facilitate the development of job capabilities of MAP graduatestudents? What are the generation mechanism and its factors? How to establish an organic relationship between the model and information system-based systematic combat capability construction?
