Backgrounds"Yinzong Jinjian" is an official medical book written by Qian Wu on the order of the emperor.Since the published day,it has been read by the majority of medical profession and even considered as an encyclopedia for treatment.Why is this book so popular?What aspects are worthy of reference by the current society?By studying the background of editors,collation methods,exegesis characteristics,and principles of "Treatise on Febrile Diseases" and "Outline of the Golden Chamber" in "Yinzong Jinjian-Zhongjing Quan Shu," this article attempts to analyze its academic achievements and main features,and point out its drawbacks.Eventually,these will contribute to a completion of Chinese medicine literature and provide a reference for researchers to apply Zhongjing's theory clinically.MethodsThis thesis uses philology,history,exegesis and inductive deduction methods to collect and sort out relevant documents for examining Qian Wu's "Yinzong Jinjian-Revised Zhongjing Quan Shu." The research on the exegesis content,characteristics,value,impact,and shortcomings of "Yinzong Jinjian-Revised Zhongjing Quan Shu" is discussed.ResultsThe main body of the thesis is divided into six chapters,which mainly contain the following results:1.The background of the book "Yinzong Jinjian" from the perspective of history.2.Qian Wu's life from the Qing historical manuscripts,medical records in Qing dynasty,and the archives of Taiwan as well as the history of other editors.3.Analysis of the revision,methods,and order of the articles in the book.4.Analysis of the exegesis content and characteristics in the book.5.Analysis of the academic ideology in "Yinzong Jinjian-Zhongjing Quan Shu".6.Summary of the achievements and drawbacks in"Yinzong Jinjian-Zhongjing Quan Shu"written by Qian Wu.7.Analysis of different version circulation of "Yinzong Jinjian"and its impacts domestically and worldly.Conclusions1.The compilation and publication of "Yinzong Jinjian" are mainly related to the epidemic of infectious diseases in the early Qing Dynasty,the power of the Qing Dynasty,the emphasis on the compilation of classic documents,and the academic popularity of the Qing Dynasty.2.According to the Qing history manuscript and the database of the National Palace Museum in Taiwan,Qian Wu was presumed to be born in the 14th of Kangxi(1675)to 11th of Qianlong(1746).3.The two popular versions of "Yinzong Jinjian-Revised Zhongjing Quan Shu" are mainly the version of Wuying Dian in the 7th of Qianlong and the Siku Quan Shu version.Both the versions have been published for about 53 times.4.Medical officers,such as Yuduo Liu,Shiqi Shi,and Shide Shi who participated in the compilation of "Yinzong Jinjian"were evaluated.5.The main content of the collated "Yinzong Jinjian-Zhongjing Quan Shu" is the error collation and article order arrangement.By applying methods such as proofreading,text correction,self-calibration.and other proofreading methods,mistakes(e.g.,missing words,adding words.reversing sentences,and increasing sentences,etc.)are corrected.6."Yinzong Jinjian-Revised Zhongjing Quan Shu" mainly includes interpreting words,annotating pronunciation.explaining rhetoric,and summarizing texts.The exegetical characteristics contains importance of old notes,accepted theory,retained doubts,and self-created solutions.7."Yinzong Jinjian-Revised Zhongjing Quan Shu" is highly praised by later generations of medical doctors due to its official revision,its compilation and clinical applications.8."Yinzong Jinjian-Revised Zhongjing Quan Shu" mainly focuses on the transmission between Yin and Yang,and then the dialectics after the misuse of the three methods mentioned in the book.9.The main focuses of "Yinzong Jinjian—Revised Zhongjing Quan Shu" are the creation of the theory in the channel of traditional Chinese medicine,such as spasms in all six channels,etc.This theory expands the scope of typhoid causing miscellaneous diseases.
