Reaserch On The Evaluation System And Model Of Nutrition And Health For Women In Rural Areas

Human nutritional health and food security are important strategic issues in our county.With the advancement in finishing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects,constructing an evaluation system for rural women's nutrition and health conditions has vital practical significance in strengthening the prevention and control of major disease as well as improving rural women's medical and health services in our country.This study acquire nutrition and health data of rural women with questionnaires,select typical samples,perform spot examination and documentary analysis,and consequently establish methods and index system to evaluate the health condition of rural women.Fuzzy evaluation method is used to establish comprehensive model to evaluate nutrition and health conditions of rural women.Furthermore,the research provides optimized methods and advice for improving the nutrition and health conditions of rural women in our country.The main results are as follows:1.Analysis of rural women's nutritional health situation:typical methods are used to investigate rural women's knowledge about health as well as the species and distribution of common diseases.We survey the rural women on health education level and common and frequently-occurring diseases in southeast,northwest and northern China.It provides theoretical basis to establish the indicator system and the evaluation system.2.Evaluation system of rural women's nutrition and health:after analyzing nutritional health situation of rural women both domestic and abroad,the research optimizes evaluation system for the rural women's nutrition and health specific to our country.37 out of 54 indexes are qualitatively selected based on index standard analysis.We then construct the evaluation system of rural women's nutritional health with 25 indexes retained.The system avoids a problem of haphazard selection indexes in tradition.It can lay a good foundation for evaluating rural women's nutrition health in our country with scientifically integrity and operationally conciseness.3.Evaluation model of rural women's nutrition and health:given the characteristics of multi-index and multi-level in our country's system,we compare different evaluation methods comprehensively to evaluate nutrition and health condition of rural women.Scientific and feasible fuzzy evaluation model is built based on the above indexes system,wich successfully applies to the nutrition and health conditions of rural women in Shexian County,Hebei Province,China.4.The mechanism underpinning rural women's health condition validated by case study:we propose a basic model describing what leads to rural women's health situation by using a structural equation model that considers the factors affecting rural women's nutrition and health as well as the related literature.Concerning policy suggestions are put forward.5.The ways for improving rural women's health condition:we analyze the factors that endanger the nutritional health of rural women and upgrade the health-promoting program.we suggest to further provide technical services and develop software system for evaluation of nutritional health based on the needs of rural women.The main research results therefore can provide a scientific reference for further improving the nutritional health of rural women in China.
