Chinese Eastern Railway Architectural Heritage is an important part of modern Chinese architectural history, and it is also a hot spot for the protection of modern industrial architectural heritage and cultural line heritage. However, most of the current research on the protection of railway heritage in the Chinese Eastern Railway are only focus on one aspect and lack systematic research that links and unifies the entire railway affiliate heritage as a whole.Consider this premise, this paper jumps out of the traditional protection ideas and introduces the theoretical framework and research methods of landscape ecology. On the one hand,it integrates historical buildings, historical blocks, historical towns and heritage corridors into the same system from the theoretical level, and enhances the railway cultural heritage of the Chinese Eastern Railway. On the other hand,it breaks through the previous analysis methods, based on landscape ecology and spatial organization theory, constructs a quantitative model for the pattern and spatial evolution process of the heritage area, and a classification rating model for the Chinese Eastern Railway heritage sites, and the characteristics of the heritage are analyzed and studied in a scientific system.First this paper introduces the theory and method of landscape ecology, taking the Chinese Eastern Railway trunk heritage as an example to reinterpret the conceptual meaning and characteristic effects.Based on this, the research ideas of “patches of heritage sites – heritage corridors – urban matrix” were constructed. At the same time, based on the quantitative analysis method of landscape ecology, the landscape index is used to enrich the landscape feature information, and the index of the structural features of the reaction patches and the characteristics of the internal species are extracted and introduced into the heritage protection.Combined with the spatial fabric theory,a spatial quantification model is established. The paper interprets the role of the model in studying the spatial evolution mechanism and regional development process of the heritage area, and lays a foundation for quantifying the spatial characteristics of the trunk heritage site. Then, under to established the research framework of “patches of heritage sites – heritage corridors – urban matrix”,the heritage of the Chinese Eastern railway trunks will be sorted out in order, and the background, distribution rules and development characteristics of the heritage system will be re-examined from the perspective of landscape ecology,Interpretation of the layout patterns and texture patterns of patches in various heritage sites during the Chinese Eastern Railway period, summarizing the historical functions and features of the heritage corridors.Based on this,in the specific historical and cultural background, relying on the unique natural environment, the spatial characteristics of the Chinese Eastern railway trunk line heritage system formed by the railway industry, revealing the historical significance and protection value behind it.Secondly, the samples of the Chinese Eastern Railway trunk heritage site are introduced into the analysis model, and the spatial shape and internal structure of the heritage patches are quantitatively studied. The spatial structure changes in the Chinese Eastern Railway period and the current period are compared, analysis the reasons of the change.Revealing its spatial characteristics and heritage distribution characteristics. At the same time, the spatial map of the heritage patches in different historical periods was introduced into the model, simulating the temporal and spatial evolution process of the patches in the urban matrix, revealing the interaction relationship between the heritage patches and the urban matrix, and the role of the heritage space in the urban matrix currently.Through analysis, the quantitative indicators that can highly summarize the above characteristics are summarized from the model, and combined with other indicators for the quality of the heritage ontology, generalizing, summarizing and establishing a classification rating model for Chinese Eastern Railway trunk sites are summarized. The model is evaluated from three aspects: the shape characteristics of the heritage patches, the spatial heterogeneity of the heritage patches, and the relationship between the heritage patches and the surrounding matrix.According to the results, the heritage patches of the Chinese Eastern Railway trunk line can be graded.Through the cluster analysis of the characteristics of each level of heritage sites, the protection status and existence value of the heritage areas in the heritage corridors are revealed, and provide scientific basis for the division of value sections and protection management of subsequent heritage corridors. Finally, this paper analyzes the landscape ecology of the Chinese Eastern Railway trunk heritage from three aspects: corridors of heritage corridor, heritage patch and urban matrix. From the perspective of the heritage corridor,it is proposed to reconstruct all the elements of the heritage, integrate the heritage elements, integrate the landscape along the line, and re-evaluate the value section of the heritage corridor through the classification and rating system. From the patch level of the heritage site,it pays attention to the continuation of historical information, the stability of circulation and landscape pattern, and the maintenance of superiority, and proposes corresponding measures to enhance the spatial quality of the heritage sites. From the perspective of urban matrix,it pays attention to adjusting the current role of historical spaces,Making it more adaptable to the development of contemporary historical towns, and appropriate benign interference to achieve the dynamic sustainable development of heritage sites and urban matrix.
