Productization for order of building composition towards building industrailizationBuilding industry and manufacturing industry are two major traditional industries accompanied by the development of human civilization.With the arrival of Industrial Revolution and the development of new technologies,the two industries have become to be concurrent and independent but the building industry has further lagged behind the manufacturing industry.Nowadays,building industrialization has become the most important development direction for the building industry.It is the most efficient approach to achieve energy conservation,emission reduction,upgrade and optimization of industrial structure.Meanwhile,the homogeneousness of the two industries are gradually emerging,which makes the integration and combination of the two industries possible.However,most research for the integration and combination of the two industries are based on the perspective of manufacturing industry via promoting manufacturing concept to meet the requirements of building industry.It leads to fragmentation,singleness and blindness to the research contents.Meanwhile,the research angle lacks comprehensive and systematic insights from perspective of architecture.Therefore,when the building industry considers “To build a house like a car” as one of the achievements of building industrialization,it is crucial to identify the similarities and differences between houses and cars in a global,systematic and in-depth way.It has important significance to explore a comprehensive and systematic integration strategy.The traditional theories of building composition and order were analyzed and extended in the context of building industrialization.As a result,a theory and its theoretical framework “Industrialized Composition Order” was constructed.Prefabricated buildings and cars(body)were used as typical examples to fill the theoretical framework.Subsequently,this paper conducts semi-quantitative analogy analysis based on this theoretical framework.A strategic framework model for the productization of buildings via “Key Technical Points for Productization of Buildings” was established.The research angle,research mode and research contents of building industrialization and lean construction based on building composition were extended.A strategic framework model of “Productization for Order of Building Composition” was explored and verified as a feasible and rational strategic approach to integrate the manufacturing industry into the building industry.A new design methodology “Building Components Architectural Design” was explored and verified as an efficient technical approach to achieve this strategy and a matched design philosophy suited to OSM.A theory and its theoretical framework of “Industrialized Composition Order” based on the perspective of “Building Composition” was explored and deduced.Finally,it provides new ideas and viewpoints for the development direction,research and practices of building industrialization in China.
