Landscape System Of Luoyang Region Between The Eastern Han Dynasty And The Northern Wei Dynasty

The research on the relationship between human and land is one of the core issues in landscape architecture discipline.The thesis includes not only the sorting out of historical transitions,but also the thinking of the present conflicts and the exploration of the future development,in which the former is the foundation of the latter two.Landscape is an objective representation of the relationship between human and land,and its specific characteristics and dynamic transitions reflect the changing process between human society and natural environment.The formation of national landscape in China owns a long history,showing a very rich diversity.However,this trait is undergoing dramatic changes due to rapid urbanization.With this trend,it is necessary to focus on historical study of national landscapes in China with the view of landscape architecture.The regional landscape of the historical capital city is a focused expression of the human-land relations in the designated time.The study on it will help to expand the depth of the national landscapes research and explore the historical reasons for its formation.As one of the most important ancient capitals in Chinese history,Luoyang in Han-Wei period undoubtedly provides a four-dimensional typical history fragment for the study of regional landscape.In this study,the living environment system of the Luoyang area in Han-Wei period is the main research object.The research process is based on the transitions in natural environmental and social conditions,to explore the objective presentation of natural system,supporting system and urban system in the area,namely the regional landscape system.Specific research is based on the perspective of the integrated landscape architecture disciplines.Firstly,it sorts out the geographical features of China’s major historical capitals and clarify the three mean points of the study:the national and reginal vision,the spatial levels and temporal transitions.Then,through the multi-angle analysis of the characteristics of the regional natural environment and multi-phase analysis of the characteristics of Luoyang’s social changes before the Northern Wei Dynasty,the natural and social foundation of the landscape system development in Luoyang region of Han-Wei period has been clarified.Finally,regarding to Luoyang city of Han-Wei period,this paper categories the regional landscape into three aspects:natural landscape,urban supporting landscape and urban landscape.Natural landscape research includes the study of main natural landscape elements and the natural landscape system;urban supporting landscape research includes the analysis of four systems:pass system,urban and rural system,agriculture system and water conservancy system;urban landscape research explores the relationship between city location and its natural environment,further analyzes the urban landscape respectively in the Eastern Han Dynasty,Wei and Jin Dynasties and Northern Wei Dynasty,finally sums up with the urban landscape system features of Luoyang city in Han-Wei period.The thesis shows that there are five main characteristics of the regional landscape system of the Luoyang area in Han-Wei period:①multi-level and multi-scale spatial structure;②strong characteristics of the times in different historical stages;③ the basic role of the natural environment in the development of various landscape systems;④strong structural characteristics and fluctuating characteristics of supporting landscape;⑤Urban landscape in capital is the manifestation of the ritual order in large-scale space.Precisely these 5 characteristics forms a blend of nature and culture of the regional urban landscape system of Luoyang in Han-Wei period.The innovation of this paper lies in:①Innovation of results.Taking the landscape system of the Luoyang in Han-Wei period as a typical history fragment,the paper expands the breadth and depth of researches on national landscape,historical cities and capital cities;and ②System innovation.From the perspective of system,this paper studies the objective presentation of living environment system in Luoyang area,focusing on the analysis of subsystems and deliberating the interaction between them.③Idea innovation.Dynamically view on the regional landscape system,focusing on the characteristics of the historical stages and the differences between them,and analyzing the underlying causes;④Method innovation.Through the comprehensive study of ancient and modern literature,the research process and results are graphically presented.
