| Since reform and opening up,China's economy and society have made remarkable achievements,created the "China miracle" of economic growth,the population urbanization level from 17.92% growth in 1978 to 56.1% by the end of 2015.But in the process of rapid development,the quantity of light quality,the disadvantages of heavy road light structure development scale has been gradually revealed.Is dominated by the government of the passive,extensive development model of urbanization caused low efficiency,excessive use of land resources,environmental pollution,ecological destruction and so on a series of problems,restraining the sustainability of economic growth.Therefore,sustainability and green development of urbanization is more and more aroused people's concern.At this stage,due to the potential growth rate drops,weak demand at home and abroad,combined with some industry overcapacity and tightening resources,energy and environmental constraints,China's economy into the scale to quality efficiency model of the speed type growth mode transformation stage.Urbanization is considered to be in the change of the economic development of our country's center of gravity,is to build a well-off society in an all-round way and from economic superpower to economic power towards the "trump card" of the engine.A large number of scholars have studied on the relationship between the urbanization and economic growth,has achieved fruitful results,but for the new situation of urbanization and the economic efficiency of the relationship between research is less.Urbanization and economic efficiency showed what kind of relationship? People-oriented urbanization can promote the improvement of economic efficiency? Promoting effect size? These questions are worthy of our deep thinking and research.Therefore,both for theory development,and analytic transformation of the economic structure at present,the urbanization effect on economic efficiency research,both in theory and practice has profound theory value and the urgent practical significance.This study based on the comprehensive development index of urbanization in central China and the level of economic efficiency measure and spatial econometric model analysis,found that four typical facts,one is the level of cities in central China,the increasing trend of urbanization comprehensive development level of the whole,and has significant spatial correlation characteristics.Second,central city economic efficiency,the total factor productivity(TFP)level is on the rise as a whole.Three is by constructing spatial panel model empirical analysis found that the improvement of urbanization level of the positive spillover effect of the improvement in economic efficiency.Four is the central region economic efficiency presents significant conditional convergence.On logical thinking,this article is based on the space Angle of view in order to promote regional economic efficiency improvement of urbanization for scientific proposition,along the "problem put forward to theory basic and literature review,analysis to the urbanization and the economic efficiency of level measurement and spatial pattern analysis and urbanization on the economic efficiency of spatial spillover effect to the dynamic spatial panel model,the convergence of economic efficiency analysis and conclusions and policy recommendations" the basic path of system analysis.The structure of the thesis are arranged as following:The first chapter,introduction.This part firstly the thesis research background and research significance,and then the paper main research contents,research methods,technical route,research framework and the place of innovation were expounded.The second chapter,the relevant theoretical research both at home and abroad.This section will provide necessary research foundation for this study,the urbanization and spatial economics related theory,urbanization theory and the role of economic growth at home and abroad research literature system carding and review,from the theoretical level to reveal,the inherent logic of the urbanization effect on economic efficiency as well as the necessity and the rationality of the space Angle of view,to lay a solid theoretical foundation to the research in this article.And build the endogenous growth model with urbanization,profound in theory to interpret the mechanism of the urbanization on the economic efficiency.The third chapter,analysis the present situation and the existing problems of urbanization and economic development in central China.Part of the central focus is to examine the urbanization development and characteristics of different stage,and the reality of the situation facing in the process of development of an in-depth analysis and thinking,clear at this stage of urbanization development present situation and the bottleneck.The fourth chapter,the urbanization level and economic efficiency measure of the central region.Using 80 l7 cities in central China in 2001-2014 data,first of all,build the evaluation index system of urbanization in central China,using entropy method to measure the comprehensive development index of urbanization level around the cities in central China.In addition,the DEA-Malmquist index method for total factor productivity(TFP)to measure and analyze the dynamic evolution and spatial distribution pattern.The fifth chapter,the central region of urbanization on the economic efficiency analysis of the spatial spillover effects.This part firstly based on the space theory,induces a phase space layout features of economic activities in the central region,and then USES spatial econometric model,to research on the economic efficiency of urbanization in central China from the perspective of space with the effect of the static and dynamic conditions of urbanization on the economic efficiency and the convergence of the identification.The sixth chapter,conclusion and prospect.This part firstly to review and summarize the full text chapters research conclusion systematically,and then to put forward a series of policy Suggestions on development of urbanization and urban economic efficiency improvement,and finally points out the deficiency of research papers,and the next step for the future research work is prospected.The innovation of this study are mainly three points:First,the theoretical innovation.Research under considering the spatial factors of urbanization development,and economic efficiency of the mechanism and path of ascension based on Lesage and Fischer(2008),Fisher(2011)method to study the spatial convergence of the central regions economic development problems,and enrich the urbanization and the economic efficiency research.Second,the research methods of innovation.The space factors into the research framework of this study,examining the dynamic relationship between urbanization and economic efficiency.The empirical analysis shows that the space factors in urbanization played an important role in the process of improving economic efficiency,ignored the traditional measurement of spatial correlation between regions exist errors analysis results.Six provinces in central cities as material,was used to construct the spatial panel model,spatial correlation analysis and spatial spillover effect decomposition,conditions of the existence of the urbanization on the economic efficiency to improve convergence for quantitative research.Third,different from traditional urbanization will be a single measure of population urbanization rate method,this paper will consider the urbanization of population urbanization,industrial urbanization,urbanization,urban and rural integration of public service,such as connotation,build a comprehensive evaluation index system of urbanization development level,the comprehensive measure regional city urbanization development level,make the level can reflect the new situation,the scientific connotation of requirements of urbanization,objectively and accurately reflect the status of the development of urbanization.At the same time,using the DEA-Malmquist method to measure economic efficiency level,the objective description of the central economic growth quality.These are rare in the existing research literature.The main research conclusions of this study:With previous research of the relationship between urbanization and economic growth related literature,this study based on the objective demand of deepening the research on the basic theory of urbanization development,the reality of national economic and social structure transformation and the current development needs,starting from the scientific connotation of urbanization,analyzes the logical relationship between urbanization and regional economic efficiency and mechanism of action,the empirical test of the urbanization on the regional economic efficiency to improve the spillover effects of time and space.And on the basis of static spatial panel model,introducing the time lag of the dependent variable and space weighted dependent variable time lags behind,the space of economic system dynamic endogenous control,improving the long-term dynamic effects of urbanization on the economic efficiency,and under the dynamic space model of urbanization on the economic efficiency of conditional convergence is recognized.Specific research conclusion is as follows:(1)Based on urbanization in central China fully combing with the present situation and the problems of economic and social development,the urbanization and the level of economic efficiency measure,found that steady rise of central region urbanization development level,economic efficiency improved step by step.Urbanization way step by step from the traditional government push,passive urbanization,population urbanization and land to the people's livelihood and ecological environment economical transformation of urbanization.But the current problems in the process of urbanization in central China are still outstanding.Unreasonable industrial structure,industry support is insufficient,the overall size is limited,the level is not high also,manufacturing industry internal structure optimization problems.Industrial concentration degree is not high,lack of innovation,weak ecological environmental bearing capacity.(2)Of the central region urbanization development and heterogeneity analysis of economic growth.In the empirical test of the urbanization and economic development,through the analysis of the central region of urbanization and the spatial distribution of economic activity shows that the central region plays a significant role in urbanization and economic growth characteristics of spatial agglomeration and spatial correlation.Under different space correlation patterns,we further spillover effects of urbanization space decomposition,also confirmed the existence of the spatial correlation.Spatial spillover effects of urbanization are good significance level,the improvement of the urbanization on the economic efficiency has a significant role in promoting,namely the cities economic efficiency not only with its urbanization level,level of economic openness,infrastructure construction,development is closely related to the factors such as financial markets,the impact of these factors in other cities,the city plays a significant role in improving economic efficiency of "demonstration effect".Under two kinds of spatial correlation,the urbanization of urban total factor productivity were showed a significant area of the overflow,however,the region urbanization spillover effects on the nearby city of improving economic efficiency,relatively insufficient that regional exchanges and cooperation in the economic activities of strengthening,linkage development of urbanization policies.Except financial market development variable weights under economic space,other influence factors on the economic efficiency of spillover effects,compared with relating right under the influence of various factors on the economic efficiency in heavy are stronger,and shows the effects of geographical factors on economic growth is weakening,and economic factors are playing an increasingly important role in the spatial correlation.(3)Static analysis cannot ascend the economic efficiency of long-term mechanism for identification,in order to further analyze the equilibrium relationship between urbanization and urban economic efficiency,this article introduced in the test model relating to the dependent variable lag and space weighted dependent variable lag,investigates the dynamic changes of economic efficiency.The dynamic spatial panel model to a certain extent,overcome the endogenous problem of static spatial panel model,reveals the dependent variable endogenous interaction under the influence of the long-term effects.Finally,in the dynamic spatial econometric model to differencing the economic efficiency,the convergence of regional economic efficiency problem,the results show that the central regions economic efficiency there is conditional convergence characteristics. |
