Liang Qichao was a famous ideologist in resent and modern time of China,and his abundant knowledge and idea was an irreplaceable push factor for society transition of China in recent time.In the field of moral education,self moral recuperate and moral education were closely connected with Liang’s cultural awareness and run through all his life.In his Unremitting exploration,he pointed out that Chinese and Western culture should supply and innovate with each other to build people civilization together.And he also dug Chinese traditional ethical resources to application of moral education practice for himself.There are a lot of groundbreaking understandings in Liang’s moral education theory and practical activity,which can bring some inspiration for moral education in recent time.This paper tried to present the original features of Liang’s moral education idea and explore its value of recent time based on the reality of moral education in modern time.At first,the reality and theoretical foundation of Liang’s moral education idea were proposed in this paper through exploring his background and experience.According to traditional Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism thought,Liang Qichao accepted the influence of the Japan Meiji thought and absorbed the western theory positively,and formed his own moral education thought.Then,this paper tries to present the integrated Liang’s moral education idea from theoretical and practical side through studying the theory considers of his idea and his moral education practice.Surrounding the two main topics: the relationship between individuals and groups and the relationship between moral and knowledge,this paper concluded Liang’s main idea with four parts,including ‘be constructive for the group’,‘pay attention to one’s own moral uplift’,‘harmonious between group and individual’ and ‘combination of moral and intelligence’.The first three points mainly discussed from the relationship between individual and group,including the individual responsibility to group,individual responsibility to themselves and how to get the harmonious relationship between individual and group finally.Moral education practice part consists of individual self-cultivation,school education,family and social education.Then,the paper respectively expounds Liang Qichao’s moral education efforts and achievements during his life time in the four aspects.At last,combined with the reality of moral education nowadays especially some questions and challenges faced in the field of moral education in recent years,this paper considers that Liang’s idea can promote our moral education theory and practice in five sides.They are idea,purpose,content,method and approach.In detail,for moral education idea,the moral education should keep the morality and knowledge together and be close to daily life with traditional culture,and should not give up the aspiration to lofty moral idea based on fundamental moral standard.For moral education purpose,it should beyond the combat of standard theory and realize integral harmonious relationship of people.For moral education content,the moral educator should promote the students to accept the given value guiding and be aspire to morality with the way of pushing the development of group and individual.For moral method,the educators should bring some new idea and content in old methods such as emotional modify,interesting guide,practical exercise,self training and so on;and they also should inspire the students to use these methods effectively.For moral education approach,Liang’s moral educational practice expand and enrich the creatively selection and some kind of moral education approaches,such as the recent general education,construction of moral system and media guiding.
