A Study On The Concept Of Being In Hegel's Logic

My work in this paper is to study being in Hegel's Logic.On study Hegel's speculative philosophical method and the principle in his Ontology,I will try to explore a breakthrough to understand Hegel's Ontology and even his Logic system.Logic is the pivotal parts in Hegel's philosophy,which is undisputed.The broad and profound thoughts in his Logical system,combining with its high level speculation and precisely academic thinking system,make his thought reached the peak of classical philosophy.Whereas,it also made his thought was difficult to be understood.Hegel,in the preface of Logic,gave a brief introduction about the principles of classical Metaphysics,Empiricism,Kantianism and intuitionism and a short summary of the advantage of speculative philosophy.We could read out from Hegel's words,the preface of Logic was written mainly about discussing the issues in the history of philosophy and the issues about principles.Scholars studied on Hegel's Logic were also focused on the issues about principles.While,as the titles was named as “Logic”,it is undoubtable that it was a work on actual activities of human's thinking system.So,here comes out the divergence between the principles and the actual activities.This is one reason why people felt confusing when they read the text in Logic.It is similar as we studied math.Even we could comprehended the principle,that did not means we could know how to use it on a special question.So,besides we understood the principle of Hegel's Logic,we also need a special “technical support”if we wish to know the essen of Hegel's Logic.For this reason,I wish to from analysing the concrete category to comprehending the principle,then trying to explore a break to study Hegel's Logic.The category I choose in this paper is “Being”.I will give a detailed exploration of this term for two reasons.The first,in the developing of the history of philosophy,“being” has revealed it's meaning in many ways.In the classical metaphysic period,the meaning of “being” was given by Aristotle and Scholasticism,it also was considered as the basic and central question in Ontology.In academy,Ontology andthe question about being was considered as the same question for a long period.Furthermore,scholars had studied on being in many angels.But,in Logic,being is a concrete concept.Although it had some connection with ontology,it also has its definitive meaning.How to seize the meaning in this aspect is the key to understand the meaning of being.The precise of understanding this category is the premise to understand other categories.The concept of being,with a so profound and vary meaning,is the key to understand Hegel's Logic.Clear definite its meaning will offer great help to grasp the basic principle in actual thinking system.The second,as the connection between the meaning of being and other principles issues,its speculative aspect was more or less be ignored.The speculative meaning of being was given by Parmenides.By a speculative process to the concept of being,Parmenides proposed the proposition,"existence exists,there is no non-existence”.The meaning of being in Logic is closed to the meaning given by Parmenides.My paper will explain the meaning of being,especially on its original meaning.Besides,I will try to add my understanding in a speculative way,in order to fulfil the content of the meaning of being.In Hegel's view,philosophy is a subject that studying the actual thought.Hegel's emphasis on the concrete is well known.But either philosophy or logic is to explore the principles and methods of discipline,so-called speculative philosophy it should adopt specific ideological content and illuminates the ideological principles.In general,the formal logic of thought content,thought the object is neutral,irrelevant attitude,as opposed to the formal logic,dialectical logic is the logic of content,speculative logic actually show is thinking of thinking to understand the content,History appreciated,logical categories as a limited provisions not directly presented as the first principle of thought,but as was thought content,content with the gradual development of thinking,thinking to follow the principles of clarity.It is because of the characteristics of the principle of logic expressed by the content in the body of the Hegelian "logic" of each logic only visible enumerated and described,and have nothing to add beyond a certain logic in the principle areas.However,due to the content of "logic" after all,is extremely difficult,when we hope to be able to grasp thestudy is still very borrow by some principle or method of logical categories of development context,in order to achieve the scope of deduction and abandoned.Press speculative spirit of logic,thinking in itself contradictions inherent power as the development of thought,logic,although the category contains a lot of opposition,but we usually only visible as a development of these opposites pure thinking at different stages reflect,and it is difficult to a category regarded as the principle of logic has a certain versatility,which also makes it difficult to grasp clearly we are always thinking in the development of their specific contradiction content.As a complement to analytic category,this paper will attempt to change the presence of two specific categories and easily interpreted as "ontological" the basic contradictions and overall principles,so as to provide an understanding of the intermediary approach "theory.”Building a connection between the basic principles of logic and the specific category of logic,solving a technical issue with a technical method is the goal that I would like to achieve.
