Jiang Yong is the founders of textology of School-Wan and the pioneers of the academic atmosphere turned into textology during the Qian and Jia period, with infinite knowledges specializing in the traditional three rituals research. Jiang Yong is the descendant of Lan Ling Xiao Jiang Shi, whose ancestors proficient in three rituals scholarism. Jiang Yong learned the classics from his father and especially paid attention to the ritual study in childrenhood, wrote San-Li yuebian, Li-Ji yuebian, Lishu gangmu, Zhou-Li yiyijuyao, Li-Ji xunyizeyan, Yi-Lishili, Yi-Li shigong zengzhu, Shenyi kaowu,Hunli congyi. etc. Jiang Yong is the founder of three rituals scholarism of School-Wan, has a great influence in the Qing Dynasty, because he was affected not only by the family, but also by the humanities academic atmosphere of Huizhou. Huizhou has always attached great importance to Confucianism and be keen to collect books which provides a good academic atmosphere for Jiang Yong’s ritual study.At the same time, he also widely communicated with some famous scholars such as Wang Fu, Fang Bao, Wu Fu.etc. The most famous event is exploring knowledge witn several letters with Wang Fu, we can find the style of study of Jiang Yong. Jiang Yong spent most of his life educating students, and his academic was carried forward under the open academic atmosphere by his students Daizhen, Cheng Yapyian, etc. This is the content of first chapter of this article.Three rituals scholarism is the classical hermeneutics with Zhou Li, Yi Li and Li Ji as the core. The study of Confucian classics has the differences of Ancient and modern, Han and Song in all ages, but all schools attaches great importance to derive the meaning of ritual. There are roughly three methods of research method of three rituals. The first one is the textual research method. The second one is philosophy research method, especially the Neo-confucianism of the Song dynasty take the philosophical connotations as the meaning of ritual. The third one is copied compilation and classified compilation. All of the three methods have appeared in the qing dynasty, and the general trend of three rituals scholarism is return to the method of commentaries of Han and Tang. The main characteristics is attaching great importance to the method of commentaries of Han and Tang, adopting the scholar’s research results of three rituals scholarism of Song Dynasty, interpreting the classics by classics in order to derive the meaning of ritual. The change of Jiang Yong’s academic style is obvious, the main characteristic of his three rituals scholarism is textual research and textual criticism. This is the content of second chapter of this article.Jiang Yong took copied compilation and classified compilation as the main method in his early works of ritual study. His earliest works is San-Li Yuebian compiled with Wang-Ji in his middle age, which has become the orerunner of his ritual system. Jiang-Yong’s Lishu Gangmu is the most important book of San-Li school in his middle age. The purpose of Jiang Yong is to inherit Chu Hsi’s aspirations of compiling Yili Jingzhuan Tongjie. But it can be found that Jiang Yong’s book is not confined to Chu Hsi’s system of ritual study in order to rebulid the system of ancient three rituals scholarism.The scholars focus on t the system of ancient three rituals scholarism, because the changes of politics, culture and times make the classics of ancient ritual be missed. So the scholars started to pay attention to the system of ancient three rituals scholarism, Zheng Xuan tried to rebuild the system of ancient three rituals scholarism based on the Zhou LI, Yi Li and Li Ji, which had a significant influence on the three rituals scholarism from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Song Dynasty.And the main standard of Chu His’ three rituals system is practical,include home ritual, school rites, local Ceremony, nations ceremony, court ceremony, funeral ritual, sacrificial ceremony.etc. And Chu His’ three rituals system inspired the scholars to compile books of ancient rituals from Song to Qing dynasty.Jiang Yong took Yili as the main classic and Liji as the supplement of Yili which inherit from Chu Hsi in his ritual system.But Jiang Yong took the ritual system of Zheng Xuan’s as the Outline of his ritual system and used many other Confucian Classics and history books as the complement in order to form a perfect ritual system.The purpose of Jiang Yong is to inherit Chu Hsi’s aspirations, but Jiang Yong’s book is not confined to Chu Hsi’s system of ritual study. Jiang Yong took Tili as the main classic and Liji as the supplement of Yili which inherit from Chu Hsi in his ritual system.But Jiang Yong took the ritual system of Zheng Xuan’s as the Outline of his ritual system and used many other Confucian Classics and history books as the complement in order to form a perfect ritual system. This is the content of third chapter of this article.Jiang Yong’s ritual study has a big change in his old age.He is not dissatisfied with the method of copied compilation and classified compilation, and turned to the demonstrative science which based on the textology in order to research Liyi. Jiang Yong’s scholastic attitude was more and more rigorous in his old age, he took Zheng Xuan’s study as the component, took seek truth from facts as the aim, and took the textology as the main method, such as Yili Shigong Zengzhu and Yili Shili. At the same time, Jiang Yong was not rejected the ritual study of scholars in song dynasty, and chose their useful theory in his LiJi Xunyi Zeyan. His another book of San-Li scholarism is ZhouLi Yiyi Juyao,which chose many research results of scholars of the pre-Qin period and Han and Tang dynasties, which had more distinct textology tendency. And also took many books from Overseas literature as the reference material,made some important breakthrough. This is the content of forth, fifth and sixth chapter of this article.Throughout his life, Jiang Yong mastered ritual study and made many important results. His Lishu Gangmu had a great influence, the royal court demanded it for serival times, and wanted him to be an adviser of the organization of compile San Li. And Lishu Gangmu also has a great influence in academic fields, Qin Huitian and Huang Yizhou’s books of ancient rituals inherited the style and chapter construction of Lishu Gangmu.Jiang Yong’s ritual study took the demonstrative science as the main method in his old age made many important results. The system of Yili Shili was learnt by Ling Tingkan, Ren Dachun, and wrote Lijing Shili, Bianfu Shili, Yili Shigong Zengzhu was written to prove the content of the palace in San-Li books. LiJi Xunyi Zeyan is reflected the academic transformation from Neo-Confucianism to textology in Qing Dynasty. ZhouLi Yiyi Juyao proved the questions and comment the difference of other scholars from ancient to Qing Dynasty.Jiang Yong’s ritual study attached great importance to the entire system of three rituals scholarism, based on principles of seeking truth from facts. He compiled ritual and rules clearly, expressed the predecessors’ Liyi. So he was widely acclaimed by the Later scholars, and his books of Son-Li scholarism has also been treated as the very important reference material. |
