Comparative Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture Efficacy For Obesity Due To Eating Disorders In Women

Objective To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture on simple obesity/overweight combined eating compulsions with JIAN PI HE WEI and NING XIN AN SHEN method.Method 90 female patients were randomly divided into 3 groups,group A(n-30)were treated with JIAN PI HE WEI,Group B were treated with NING XIN AN SHEN(n=30),and group C were treated with JIAN PI HE WEI plus NING XIN AN SHEN(n=30).Twice a week,a total of 30 treatments were performed.The obesity index(body weight,body mass index,fat ratio,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio)and PPS scores were assessed before and after the treatment.Follow-up visits were performed on the 4th,8th,and 12th weeks after the end of treatment,and the patient's weight was recorded-All statistical data are analyzed by SPSS19.0 statistical software.Results(1)Obesity index and PPS scores of the three groups were significantly decreased.The weight,BMI,body fat percentage,waist circumference,hip circumference and PSS of the patients in group A and B were statistically decreased after treatment(P<0.01).The weight,BMI,body fat percentage,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist-hip ratio and PSS of the patients in the C group were all statistically decreased after treatment(P<0.05).(2)Among the three groups,weight loss in group C was the most obvious(P<0.01);PPS score in group B was the best(P<0.01).(3)Compared with group A,the difference in body weight between group B and group C was statistically significant(P<0.01)at the 4th week of follow-up;at the 8th week of follow-up,the difference in body weight between group B and group C was statistically different from that of group A(P<0.01);follow-up at week 12 was similar to week 8.ConclusionFor women with simple obese/overweight and eating compulsions,both NING XIN AN SHEN and JIAN PI HE WEI can effectively treat obesity and improve patients' PPS scores.The treatment with NING XIN AN SHEN has the best effect in improving the psychological state,and the use of Ningxin combined with JIAN PI HE WEI has the best effect.Both treatments should be used together to hope for better results.Or begin with Ning Xin An Shen and add Jian Pi He Wei.The effect is sustainable based on a 12-week follow-up.
