The aim of this study is to help China and Malaysia to learn from each other their clinical acupuncture practice so as to help China promoting acupuncture to South East Asia and the world. It will help to seek factors that obstacle the promotion of effective acupuncture treatment to the world outside of China. To achieve these aim, my questionnaires were distributed to acupuncture doctors, patients of different races in Malaysia. I also interviewed the most experienced TCM doctors to understand their acupuncture techniques, and to learn about the stories of Malaysia acupuncture development history and present situation. I also interviewed and learned from them about their own years of experiences in treating Malaysian various different races, their patients' response, effectiveness and acceptance of acupuncture treatment. From my questionnaires analysis and the most experienced acupuncturist doctors, I try to draw out the picture of Malaysia unique acupuncture treatment experiences.I designed two different type of questionnaires: :( 1.) Questionnaire for TCM acupuncture doctors to understand Malaysia clinical acupuncture treatment situation,different race treatment response, effectiveness, influence to acupuncture treatment from different climate condition, foods, culture, religion towards the management of acupuncture management by Malaysian local TCM acupuncturist doctors.( 2.)Questionnaire for patients that consist of different races in Malaysia and from Indonesia and from other countries to understand their responses toward acupuncture treatment. I also try to understand these patients concept about the present situation of Malaysia acupuncture development, patients from different area of Malaysia concept about acupuncture treatment, diseases that they think acupuncture can treat, disease that bring them for acupuncture treatment, their suggestions, did they undertook treatments other than acupuncture etc(3.)In-depth interview with most experience TCM acupuncturist from Penang, Kuala Lumpor, Kelantan(West Malaysia) and Kuching(East Malaysia).Most of my patients are Chinese, and most of them came for treating muscular pain problem. Most of the patients replied that they think acupuncture can treat gastro entorology;digestion diseases showed significant different(p<0.05) ?neurological system diseases showed significant different(p<0.05) ?endocrinology showed significant different(p<0.05), gynecology diseases showed significant different(p<0.05). They reported that they choose acupuncture treatment because acupuncture cause less side effect showed significant different(p<0.05). Most of the patients replied that they had used other treatment method before they came for acupuncture treatment showed significant different(p<0.05). Acupuncture patients that complained suffered very uncomfortable during treatment showed significant different(p<0.05). Patients reported that they don't have vomiting or post needling fainting showed significant p<0.05?Indian on the other hand showed to suffered more post needling fainting episode. Patients that experience getting well only after one treatment were few showed significant different(p<0.05). Patients that choose to undertook acupuncture and TCM herb at the same time showed significant different(p<0.05).I interviewed them about their major technique, special acupuncture technique that different from traditionally used in China, various diseases treated by them, their experiences about the various different response towards acupuncture treatment on different races, their effectiveness, any modification they did due to different climate, food,culture, religion and about their clinical condition. During my in depth interview with well experienced elderly TCMdoctor,Dr.Huang,who stress the important of East West Native Integration.Through these questionnaires analysis and in depth interview to understand the underneath problem exist in Malaysia clinical acupuncture treatment situation. Also to understand Malaysia acupuncture unique development that has absorbed and integrated good points and experiences from other races in Malaysia to become a new form of integrated acupuncture management method that is more suitable in managing diseases that are unique to Malaysia climate and culture that are different from China. This research also showed that all those different ethnic/racial group patients can accept acupuncture treatment, thus TCM acupuncture is a medical system that has the ability to cross racial differences and culture differences.
