The Study On The Openess Of Architecture Materials

The tectonic theory is a hotspot of research in recent years,and the material is one of the key links.Contemporary architecture needs to develop the inner creativity in the new constrution practice.However,there are two opposing views on the relationships between the material and the form for a long time:one of which thinks the logic of material shown during construction is its authenticity,so is the premise of the form;another opinion is that material appearance is the fundamental characteristics,and the form choice by architects is same as the grasp of the surface features on the material.This paper argues that,because there are fundamental differences between these two views in the starting point and the evaluation system,it is impossible to derive the conclusion only by the logic thinking on "nature".And in the architecture "phenomenon" study characterized by examples,empirical attitude can't reconcile the contradictions.Therefore,in the contrast of real and the performance on materials,we not only need to do the "quality" analysis,but also to compare the "quantity" ——the dimension of material,which both reflects material dynamic evolution process in the development of science and technology,and marks the human's konwing about himself.It is the foundation of this paper to get rid of the opposition between logos and experience with positive attitude.By giveing deep interpretation on the concept of material,with its connotation in contemporary science development,exploring the universal law of natural things,combined with existing way of material in dialectics,the article clarifies that the concept of material is a kind of dynamic development with the cognition of human.Therefore,we give an open material mind which material should not be regarded as the specific state of time and space;it is a kind of substence organization way in hierarchy.Form is not subservient to the material,but a physical relationship shown in the development of technology with hierarchy character.The paper reduces materials into several hierarchies according to the evolution process and the complexity,in deeply understanding “materiality ",highlights the “humanity " of material.On the basis of Gestalt Psycology,Perceptual epistemology and phenomenology,the paper demonstrates that there is no inevitable contact between the reality and performance of materials,and criticizes the rationalism "passive show" and formalism "talent style",clarifies the contact between material and form is based on the same patterns of "hierarchy" between existence and cognition.This paper summarizes the sequence of the perception and tries to correspond it with the construction hierarchy of material to seek the universal connection.on which describes and interprets the development vein of architectural forms,evaluates the development of modern architecture by summarizing the material scale system created by several modern architecture masters.Furthermore,introduces the latest development trend of materials and construction technology,and belongs the new form exploring recent years into the systems.The paper also gives its own ideas to the form confusion and controversy view of contemporary architecture development.Finally,based on the clues of material development,it puts forward assumptions for the future architectural form.
