Essential Techniques for the Peasantry is the important agricultural book in ancient China; this book not only includes the agricultural technique, but also contains many dietetic raw materials and technology in food. It shows the dietetic culture and the different regions of ethnic dietetic exchange and dissemination in the northern and southern dynasties period in ancient China. The record of the dietetic raw materials in the book reflects dietetic culture of unity in diversity during the historical period and the ethnic fusion phenomenon. The article try to prove the diet naturally have different cultural areas of mutual accommodation.This paper tries to analyze the characteristics of the dietetic culture in this period from the perspective of agriculture。Because the dietetic culture influenced on the Chinese dietetic culture in the Wei and Jin Dynasties,which is an importantinseparable part of Chinese dietetic culture system. During this period, the food materialsfood styles shew the characteristics of dietetic cultural exchangefrequently. Through the material carrier of agricultural history of China and the Chinese dietetic culture history is rice, millet, wheat, meat, vegetables, fruits and ancestors left the moment has the practical significance of agricultural cultural heritage.
