| The report of the Eighteenth National Congress clearly puts forward requirements of speeding upthe development of modern agriculture and enhancing the comprehensive agricultural productioncapacity. In2014, Document NO.1of the Central Government points out that it is requiring more urgentfor the synchronization of promoting agricultural modernization, industrialization, informationizationand rapid development of urbanization. It is imperative to carry out the construction of modernagriculture.With the character of innovative, economics, advanced and demonstration, as the enforcer ofmodern agriculture construction, National Modern Agriculture Demonstration District (NMADD) hasbetter development foundation, significantly agricultural production efficiency and strongdemonstration effect. It continuously pursues to innovate development mechanism, develops rapidly,constantly promotes competitiveness of NMADD.This paper starts the research on competitiveness of NMADD from concepts competition, existedcompetition between demonstration area to promote competitiveness of NMADD, make competitionmore fully, play advanced demonstration role in driving to enhance competitiveness further.This paper uses the comparative advantage and competitive advantage, industry cluster, resourcesendowment, economies of scale, unbalanced development, sustainable development and other relatedtheory, reveals competitiveness connotation and characteristic, theoretically analyzes the formation,development and promotion, points out the connection and difference between NMADD and othercompetitiveness.Through present situation analysis of development of NMADD, it has gooddevelopment foundation. Comparing with the demonstration area development with another area, itpoints out many problems appeared in the development process. According to the classical theory ofadjusted and amended "Diamond" Model, on the basis of predecessors’ research methods, using PanelData model analysis to sum up influence factors of competitiveness of NMADD. According to thecomparative analysis between demonstration and non-demonstration zone, this article also uses DIDModel to analysis competitiveness of NMADD. Finally it is concluded that the promotion ofcompetitiveness of NMADD is not caused by the development trend of NMADD itself, but bygovernment designating NMADD policy, more sure of role promoting the competitiveness ofdesignating NMADD by Ministry of Agriculture. Through further understanding of the influencefactors of competitiveness of NMADD, it builds evaluation index system to rank competitiveness level.According to the location and provinces difference of NMADD and the competitiveness levelcomparison among eastern, central, west and northeast of the demonstration zone, it is concluded thatthe most competitive in eastern and the weakest demonstration zone in west of China. Thecompetitiveness gap between regional and provincial demonstration area is obvious. Through the analysis, this paper points out further key elements in the development ofcompetitiveness, the driving force and the weakness, development direction of the development ofNMADD, sums up the upgrade the strategic and promotion strategy. Combined with the full textanalysis and evaluation of competitiveness, the characteristics of development, development needs andthe demand of agricultural development, it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promotethe competitiveness of NMADD on the production elements, demand condition, related supportconditions, the agricultural development and government situation. It makes the competitivenessstrong demonstration exploring and utilizing advantage, finds out disadvantage of weak competitivenessdemonstration area in order to promote modern agriculture development potential and provide somescientific basis for promoting the development of modern agriculture. |
