Vehicular traffic is an important means of transportation in modern human life, but current traffic system have problems such as traffic jam and low transportation safety etc. To improve the safety and efficiency of road traffic, governments, research facili-ties, and enterprises devote a lot of their energies in the research of Intelligent Trans-portation System (ITS). Vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANET) is a recently developed advanced wireless network technology, also an important part of ITS.The study of this thesis contains research works on VANET mobility modeling, trust management and redundancy security data elimination mechanism. The four ma-jor innovations of our work are listed below.· Proposed a synthesized mobility model REMM. REMM has a trip planning sub-model RPB, which has better performance than existed mobility model STRAW etc.· Proposed a neutral network based micro-mobility model NeMo. NeMo can make vehicles learn to drive by itself. It’s a first exploration on the area of VANET based Driverless driving assistance technology.· Proposed a trust management mechanism RATES. In the research area of trust management, RATES is the first one that integrates data trust management and entity trust management. RATES also effectively manages entity’s trust under the premise of privacy protection. Compared with existed trust management scheme, RATES integrated observation and feedback by using ACO algorithm, improve the trust on correct data, and enhance the resilience to colluded data falsifying attack.· Proposed a new redundant security data elimination mechanism. Based on the kernel function TS-Kernel we proposed that can effectively classify beacon data, we use support vector machine method to classify beacon message by senders, allowing vehicles send beacons without redundancy security data such as digital signature and credential. This mechanism effectively improves the data transmis-sion efficiency of beacon message, reduces the security related data overhead.
