Reasonable arrangement of measurement equipment in active measurement system of more, small, rapid and dark objects is the key technologies to measure motion characteristrics. Concept research on stations arrangement of active measurement system for more, small, rapid and dark objects is to resolve technical difficulties of measuring in shooting range and so improve technological capability for moving targets. The present situation and development of shooting range measuring in the world are introduced and the stations arrangement of modern measurement in shooting range are analyzed in detail. According to the task and requst, the binocular intersecting measuring system has been set up to measure the attitude and velocity of moving target by high-speed image cameras synchronously. Multiple CMOS cameras are laid on different positions in measurement region, images observed were transmitted to storage system by optical fiber transmission system. Information of images was extracted to measure the attitude and velocity of moving targets. For weak signal of targets, the objects are illuminated by laser to improve contrast ratio between objects and background. So image quality and measurement precision are improved. Stations arrangement of multiple CMOS cameras introduced in this paper have advantages of simple structure, flexible extension, rapid arrangement, high precision and strong adaptability.The mathematics model of binocular intersection measuring system is set up firstly, and then the distribution modes and correlative parameters of binocular cameras are analyzed detailedly. The mathematics model of multiple CMOS cameras laying on two sides of effective view region(EVF) is established. The relationships between effective view region and station distance, baseline distance, field angle and altitude angle are analyzed. Analysis of effective view field are extended from two-dimensional plane to three-dimensional space. Stations arrangement are optimized on guarantee of effefctive view field and measurement precision.Scheme of stations arrangement of CMOS camera laying below and ahead is advanced. Non-intersecting mode was used for cameras below EVF to measure velocity of objects. Single CMOS camera lay ahead to measure attitude and velocity on basis of single camera. Multiple CMOS cameras constitute measurement system to cover region that more objects falling to improve measurement precision and capture ratio.Theoretical and simulational research on stations arrangement for active measurement system of more, small, rapid and dark objects was introduced in this paper. Scheme of stations mode that cameras laying on below and ahead of EVF is set up, theory and method are set up that analysis of EVF extending from two-dimensional plane to three-dimensional space, simulation related has been finished.
