Binocular parallax telescope is mainly used in the measurement of dynamic targets,especially the flight distance measurement.Binocular parallax ranging system has the main features of accurate,fast,automatic matching,ranging range etc.It is a passive ranging in which the high precision ranging over a long distance can be achieved under natural conditions without sending out any signal to the target object.This paper discusses the main principles of binocular parallax optical telescope system.And the binocular parallax telescope optical system is designed and optimized by using Zemax optical design software.The lens data of the binocular parallax telescope system is normalized.It also briefly discusses Binocular Ranging System CMOS image matching technology.It uses the CMOS auto-focus technology to improve the binocular telescope image quality.Tolerance analysis of the binocular parallax optical system is carried out to ensure the accuracy of the system during the machining and assembly process.Finally,the range error of telescopic binocular telescope system is less than 0.91%,which satisfies the requirement of less than 1%.
