As for Muslims, Islam is not only a belief and civilization which represent the institutional values in their ways of living., but also a continuous social tradition. Xihaigu is a region that the population of Huis are concentrated. The religion of Islam has been rooted and continuously spread in the region of Xihaigu, and hence it shaped the distinctive characteristics of the culture of Huis in there. Tracing back to the past, the Islamic history of Huis in Xihaigu could be regarded as a historical procedure of constant developments and changes in its way to localization. However, under the current background of globalization and social transformation, this paper mainly focusing on following issues:Xihaigu-----Being a village with strong sense of Hui culture, and with "Essential tradition" of Islamic value of Huis. What kinds of impacts may these modern concepts have to the traditional ones? Or as it said that, if the change in Islamic culture of Huis in Xihaigu is inevitable, then in what kind of way and with what kind of motivation it is to be changed? And most importantly, What would it means to Islam by means of changing is that way?This paper uses Lu Daji’s religious theory of "dichotomy" to divide the Islam of rural Huis into internal and external factors. Among these factors, external factors play the role of variable quantities which are used for observing the changes of Islam in rural area. Therefore, the main content of this paper are as follows. First and foremost, the change of social structure in rural Hui Islamism. Tracing the history of various sects and mosques in Hui Islamism, Analyzing their current distinction of categories and characteristics and further contemplation on the effects of the changes in the structures of Islam society. Secondly, the changes of "Authoritative holy secularism" in rural mosques of Huis, and the changes of Imam and chief manager of mosque in that transitional period of time. And giving consideration to the decline of authority with a historical dilemma. Thirdly, the change in education in mosque. Analyzing the present situation and existing problems of declination of education in rural mosque of Hui in a view of new type of Islamic cultural education. Fouth, The changes in practice of individual believers. Analyzing on the three aspects of the current Hui Muslims in the Lord of Life religion, religious charity, and faith declination. And hence reobserve the change in the concepts of Hui Muslim with concrete methods.The religion of Islam among Hui community in rural Xihaigu showing a real coexistence of fission and adjustment during the a period of social transformation. And this can be regarded as a kind of "change" in religious practice as the result of different age, but it remains somehow unchanged under religious spirit level. While this paper is quite adamant on the point that in order the cultivate the Islam in Hui community in a healthy way, some innovation in social convention must be made. The secular trend in Islam in rural Hui community in one of the major challenge in the development of Islam, and it can also been seen as a result of proper adjustment for adopting the charming times.
