| At present, China has entered the constructional period of civil society. The key to the construction of civil society is the cultivation of the civic consciousness of the people. Awareness of our citizens is mainly done through the school, family and community education. Which school training is a top priority. However, due to the long examination-oriented education concept, China is still not formed a dedicated civic awareness education system, which resulted in a serious lack of civic-mindedness in part of student groups. In university, the ideological and political education is the main front of the civic awareness education,which is the major ways and means to enhance civic awareness of college students. So how to contact the citizenship education with the ideological and political education, how to grasp the relationship between the ideological and political education and citizenship education, how to strengthen the cultivation of civic-mindedness in the ideological and political education, which has important theoretical significance and practical significance.It is the two kinds of humanistic quality,which both has connections and differences between the Civic awareness and the ideological and political quality.The citizen consciousness is the self-perception of the political and legal status in the country of the citizens, reflecting the psychological identity and rational conscious of their rights and obligations, the concept of democracy and the rule of law and rational political participation of the citizens is the core of it. Cultivating College Students’ civic consciousness has an important role in the development of our society:it is the objective requirements of the market economy development; it is an urgent need to promote the humanistic; inevitable requirement to implement the concept of democracy and the rule of law; effective way for the realization of democratic politics. Ideological and political quality refers to the basic quality of the Students ideology, ethical behavior, political attitudes, the law literacy in line with the characteristics of the times, the college students’ political outlook, outlook on life, values, morality embodies. The quality of higher political is the demand of social development in contemporary. It requires that college students have a firm ideals and beliefs, advancing times and the national spirit,the socialist concept of honor and disgrace is the code conduct of it.Currently, the lack of the university students’ civic awareness has a serious impact on the ideological and political education work. The survey shows that:the rights and obligations of consciousness college students is not strong; the national and national consciousness have desalinated; awareness of equality and justice are not strong; the awareness of freedom and the rule of law have weakened, the moral sense of civilization has landslide.The current lack of civic awareness of college students is not conducive to the ideological and political education, to the formation of the core values of college students,,to "expand people’s democracy and ensure that the people are the masters," to "establish a socialist democracy and the rule of law, freedom, equality, equity and justice";and is not conducive to the formation of the human spirit.In China, although the effective ways and means of improving civic consciousness is the ideological and political education, there are still many areas of weakness. Improve the ideological and political education of college students has positive role to civic consciousness:first, it can help students to master the basic knowledge of the moral;second, it can help college students understand the relationship between man and man, man and society from the height of the ideological and political education legal;the third is to help college students to enhance the sense of responsibility and mission of revitalizing the Chinese nation. However, the current ideological and political education of college students can not be equated to a sense of citizenship. Because the ideological and political education of college students can not solve political and social problems; does not crash the cultivation of the spirit can not solve the habits of modern civilization; does not resolve the moral education mission.A series of problems that exist in the awareness of our citizens and the ideological and political education are caused by school education, family education and social education reasons. It did not follow the laws of student development deal with education about citizenship and the relationship of the ideological and political education in early childhood education, basic education stage; the School Development incorrect guide,contributed to generally neglected civic awareness education; overburdened learn of students caused the lack of civic awareness training and necessary social practice. Child’s education about citizenship faced with complex problems for the evolution of Chinese families in the30years; hopeful attitude of parents generally overlooked civic awareness education; the various adverse malformations family oriented is not conducive to the healthy growth of children. Aspects of the social environment, various negative phenomena in society affect the formation of students’ civic awareness, a variety of unperfect social management system and mechanism make it difficult to form a good environment which is conducive to citizenship and civic awareness education:a variety of practice sites and practical mechanisms has not been established.At present, it has not formed a dedicated civic awareness education system in our university education system,so civic awareness education must be added to the ideological and political education. First, we must attach great importance to the problem of university students’ civic awareness. Second,we must strengthen civic awareness of college students. Third, must strengthen a practical education of the civic consciousness of college students. In the ideological and political education, civic awareness education must also form a binding mechanism of the ideological and political education and citizenship education. The ideological and political education must be practical for college students, not to lower the standard but more realistic, must be based on the effects, to solve the practical problems of college students, must be a high political degree of change by qualified citizens to qualified successors, improving the ideological and political education. In order to play the main front role in the cultivation of civic awareness, a long-term mechanism must be built to foster civic awareness of college students in the ideological and political education of college students. First, it is necessary to combine with the ideological and political theory courses, to build armed mechanism of civic awareness of College Students; second,combined with the social practice of college students, to construct a practical platform for university students’ civic awareness training mechanism; third, combined with the ideological and political management activities, to establish training habits developing mechanisms of the university students’ civic awareness. In addition, I believe that the cultivation of civic awareness to strengthen the ideological and political education,we must explore the following questions further. First, we should have a general overall leadership of the Student ideological and moral education. Second, we should establish a complete system of civic awareness education in the basic education and early childhood education stage; further more, we should create a good atmosphere for education about citizenship in social reform and development.Therefore, education about citizenship and the ideological and political education are both connections and differences ways. The relationship of them are complementary and mutually reinforcing. A good sense of civic responsibility is the basis of developing the students’ political quality, good ideological and political quality can promote the civic awareness of college students. |
