In this paper, the term "Contemporary landscape painting" can not be simply understood as the painting drew by contemporary people."contemporary" present as era significance at present age,which means to keep pace with the times. Therefore, the contemporary landscape painting we studied refers to the lands-cape painting present with both traditional culture spirit and the characteristic-s of the present era. It inherited the spirit of pen and ink in the tradition of landscape painting, continually broken though the traditional program of painting, expanded the presentational language of painting. This kind of landscape painting, in accord with the essential rules in the Inheritance and development of art, is the main direction of the development of the contemporary landscape painting. This paper adopts the methods of literature research, Photography analysis and comparative, analyze the creation ideas and methods of contemporary landscape painting as well as the plight in the development of the current complicated situation in the perspective of arts practitioners through the study of contemporary landscape painting.The pen and ink of Chinese traditional landscape painting formed a complete system in the long process of the development of history, and taken the philosophical system in ancient China as a theoretical basis. The artistic conception of traditional ink painting are done by pen and ink. However, the standard ink in each historical period changed with the times, which expressed different thoughts and feelings of the era. If it was considered that the ancient Chinese philosophy gave birth to the emergence and development of traditional ink painting form, then the focus on the state of the contemporary individual and self-consciousness of the human spirit has created the rise of contemporary ink painting. Judging from the history of the development of landscape painting, the content of spiritual culture contained in pen and ink which formed in a long formation process of its formal language system is its core content and also the main content we need to inherit and carry forward.Contemporary landscape painting is a contemporary manifestation of Chinese landscape painting, is own reflection of social and cultural psychology and survival experiences of a traditional art in the current period of social transformation, is also a positive response in facing with foreign art and influencing the formation of concept. Although the formal language of contemporary landscape painting and styles were varied, the cultural ties with the spirit of ink as its core have never been broken up, always guarding the border of landscape painting. Compared to traditional ink painting, however, no matter the structure of language or morphological aspects of contemporary ink painting have changed. This is not only the development of language representation and expressive force in traditional ink painting, but also the change in mode of thinking from the ultimate rational thinking paradigm to humanistic feelings which were focused by individual in contemporary society. This is also a manifestation of the time spirit of contemporary ink painting. However, changes in the contemporary landscape painting after all were promoted by their own reflection and the influence of foreign art together. Because of no systematic methodology in aesthetic theory and practice of Contemporary Ink Painting, the discussion and artistic practice of current landscape painting are in trouble to a certain extent. Therefore, it is of important significance to study contemporary ink painting revolved around ink, to analyze the dilemma as well as the causes, specific performance, the ideas and methods on the creation of contemporary ink painting. In order to achieve a better development and inheritance, we need to discuss, study and summarize these issues in Chinese landscape.
