| As a new media born in the middle of1990s, the Internet played a more and more important role nowadays, and has greatly changed people’s life style and thinking mode. The Chinese film industry and film criticism have also be affected significantly. At this Information Age, meanwhile, there are a lot of voices in the Chinese film criticism field, in which apparent changes have taken place from aspect of publication, creative ideas and consciousness of main body to the expression methodology. From another aspect these new changes also provide new and rich research topics as well as challenges. In this thesis I will try to trace the evolution of Chinese film criticism at Information Age, give a rational analysis with the aim of providing new orientation, and explore possible approaches to the future of Chinese film criticism.This thesis can be divided into six parts and organized as follows. An introduction is given in first part, including the research origin and relevant academic background. Definitions of related concepts as well as the research scope, methods and significance are also given therein. Chapter1involves cultural background especially the effect and evolution of digital culture. A brief introduction to Bourdieu’s field theory is also given. Then I apply this theory to explain and understand the internet culture and film criticism. Chapter2analyzed the change of film aesthetic mode. Due to the change of aesthetic, the audience’s aesthetic taste and the whole film creation were changed, and also henced the changes of film criticism during the Information Age. In Chapter3I summarize the confronted problems in film criticism and discuss how to solve these problems systematically. The trend and perspective of Chinese film criticism are discussed in Chapter4. The conclusion part is presented in Chapter5, a summary of Chinese film criticism at Information Age is given therein. |
