This study Through investigating the related literature materials pursue the development track of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion in Canada, via conducting questionnaire and in-depth interview to understand the current situation of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion in Canada, so as to look for the new direction and the new method of the further development of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion in Canada and playing a better role on the world medical stage, to contribute ideas and exert efforts for the internationalization of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion.Research methods:1. Literature research methodVia consulting pertinent literature, books and periodicals, newspaper, minutes of the meeting, etc, to carry out research on the development, legislation, education and employee of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion in Vancouver. This method lays the foundation of the study on the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture and moxibustion clinic in Vancouver.2. Survey study methodThe research method which combined questionnaire survey with field study is adopted to study the current situation of TCM acupuncture and moxibustion clinic in Vancouver, interviewers who is trained conduct a survey which contains "questionnaire to patients on acupuncture and moxibustion clinical current situation in Vancouver" and "questionnaire to doctors on acupuncture and moxibustion clinical current situation in Vancouver" to doctor and patient.3. The reason for this is that national policy, management method and the technology of acupuncture and moxibustion.Suggestions:Acupuncture and moxibustion should be accepted by government, It can be best to build the hospital of the TCM acupuncture and moxibustion with people’s will. Chinese cultural knowledge should be study intensively, the rate of reimbursement about acupuncture and moxibustion should be enlarged, it’s best no less than Western medicine. scientific language should be used to strengthen the publicity of acupuncture and moxibustion, so as to raise public awareness of acupuncture and moxibustion. We should look for the breakthrough point acupuncture and moxibustion’s development, intractable disease and preventive treatment of disease should be taken as the breakthrough point, exchanges and cooperation should be strengthened between TCM/acupuncture and moxibustion physician and Western doctors in Canada. The management of private clinic should be regulated, technical level of acupuncturist should be improved, diagnostic approaches should be enlarged. fundamental research and clinical research of acupuncture and moxibustion should be developed, its mechanism and curative effect should be explored repeatedly.
