Healthcare management is rapidly developing as an industry after a long period ofdevelopment in some developed countries. This study focused on information services inthe context of healthcare management at large general hospitals. We hope to useinformation technology and services to establish a quick, widely-received connectionbetween healthcare demand of the whole society and the healthcare resources such aswell-trained medical professionals, equipment, and quality service. The goal of this studyincludes: first, to establish an mechanism by which information technology can beintegrated into healthcare management; second, to provide healthcare management serviceto mobile device through mobile internet; third, to reach out patients by providingcustomized healthcare management service in order to break the information asymmetrybetween patients and healthcare professionals, facilitate patients’ access to healthcareservice, and ease the tension between patients and healthcare professionals due tomiscommunication.Information Standardization is the basis of information service. In this studyinformation Standardization focuses on creating healthcare management dataset that coversall needed contents. Such dataset is not only beyond the limitation set by specific product, format, and media, but it establishes a model at a conceptual level. For healthcaremanagement service, it is a key basis for information processing. After setting up the datastandard and mechanism for in-hospital healthcare management, we proposed that mobileinternet technology could be used in information service for healthcare management. Withincreased coverage of internet and smart phones, mobile internet is rapidly reshaping ourlife. New technologies such as wechat, APP, and etc, have been widely used in variousindustries. For example, large amount of customers in wechat facilitate shopping providingan all-new, convenient life style at low cost. As such, this study attempted to use mobileinternet service in healthcare management in large general hospitals in order to achieve aconvenient, fast, and efficient customer experience in hospital service. We also tried to useinternet service to enrich service content and improve service quality. This study established a channel through which health consultation, clinicappointment, patient-doctor interaction can be managed through Wechat and patients’ mobile devices. We also tried to use this model to collect and monitor healthcaremanagement data such as physical signs. Lastly, we conducted evidence-based studyinvolving279obese subjects. Using proposed healthcare management model oninformation service, we evaluated health status of these obese patients, performedbehavioral intervention, provided consultation and guidance, and analyzed their weightloss upon intervention. We concluded that the information service for healthcaremanagement had significant impact on obese population.
