| Objective:Through the animal experiment, measured and compared the oxidative stress indexes including in malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase(SOD), and total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) in serum before and after the treatment in each group of SD rats mode with nerve root inflammation, and in musle after all treatment. Analysed the relationship between free radicals and oxidative stress in occuring and developing mechanism of lumbar disc herniation. discussed the mechanisms of acupuncture combining with the Tian’s Pain Measuring and Treating Instrument in analgesia for treating lumbar disc herniation by free radical scavenging. Through clinical research, compared the difference in the scores of JOA low back pain, ODI disability index, and the distribution of curative effect, between acupuncture combining with the Tian’s Pain Measuring and Treating Instrument and pure acupuncture in treating lumbar disc herniation.Methods:This research contained two aspects:animal experiment and clinical research.1animal experimentThere were36SD rats of SPF grade.6were randomly selected as the normal group. The next30had been build animal model and24successful animal modle were randomly divided into model group, the observation group and the control group.(1) Modeling methods:except the normal group, the other3groups had been build the model of nerve root inflammation of rats to simulate the pain model of lumbar disc herniation.(2)Intervention methods:the normal group and the model group were given routine feeding. The observation group wree given acupuncturing Jiaji points combining with the Tian’s Pain Measuring and Treating Instrument. Treatment was given once every day, and continuous treatment for14times.The patients in control group were treated by pure acupuncture therapy.2Clinical research60subjects were divided into treatment group and control group randomly and there were30cases in each group. The treatment group were treated by acupuncture combining with Tian’s Pain Measurement and Treatment Instrument, the control group were treated by pure acupuncture.(1) The treatment groupAll patients received acupuncture treatment on optional side points, including in Jiaji, Ashi, Huantiao, Yang lingquan, Weizhong, KunLun points and so on, then connected with Tian’s Pain Measurement and Treatment Instrument on the points on waist. Measured the intensity of pain and treated them. Pulled out the needle until the intensity of pain of each point connected with Tian’s Pain Measurement and Treatment Instrument turned to be0. Treatment was given once everyday, for14consecutive days.(2)The control groupAll patients just be given pure acupuncture treatment. Chose the same points and treatment frequency as treatment group.Results:(1) After treatment were given7and14times, evaluated scores in the neural function of rat with nerve root inflammation, the observation group decreased significantly compared with the control group and the model group(P<0.01). After14days treatment, there was no significant difference between the observation group and the normal group(P>0.05).(2) In the aspect of content of MDA, activity of SOD and concentration of T-AOC in serum of rat with nerve root inflammation, after7and14times treatment, the activity of SOD and T-AOC in observation group increased significantly than the model group and the control group (P<0.01), while MDA decreased significantly(P<0.01). After14days treatment, the activity of SOD, concentration of T-AOV in muscle in observation group were significantly higher than the control group and the modle group(P<0.01), while the contents of MDA were significant lower than the control group and the modle group (P<0.01).(3)In the clinical study, after all treatment, every item scores of low back pain in treatment group were significnatly higher than the control group (P<0.05), and total score was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.01). The ODI disability index scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01). Follow up one month after the end of treatment, scores of JOA low back pain in treatment group were significnatly higher than the control group (P<0.01). The ODI disability index scores in the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group (P<0.01).Conclusion:(1) Acupuncture combining with the Tian’s Pain Measuring and Treating Instrument has a good effect on rats with nerve root inflammation.(2) Acupuncture combining with the Tian’s Pain Measuring and Treating Instrument can increase the activity of SOD, elevate the concentration of T-AOV, and decrease the content of MDA in the serum and musle of rats with nerve root inflammation.(3) Acupuncture combining with the Tian’s Pain Measuring and Treating Instrument can treat patient with LDH in every symptoms, and have long-term effect.(4) Acupuncture combining with the Tian’s Pain Measuring and Treating Instrument can improve the quality of life of patient with LDH. |
