Clinical Observation Of Jia-Wei-Long-Mu-Er-Miao Liquid And Zhong-Yao Lotion In Treatment Of Dampness-heat Type Eczema

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy, safety, recurrence rate and the improvement of patient’s quality of life of Jia-Wei-Long-Mu-Er-Miao Liquid and Zhong-Yao Lotion in treatment of Dampness-heat type Eczema with open, randomized controlled clinical trials.Method:1Groups:A total of150patients were randomly divided into The test group and control group, The test group included74cases, The control group included76cases.2Treatment:The patients of The test group taking Jia-Wei-Long-Mu-Er-Miao Liquid orally twice a day for2months. Component of Jia-Wei-Long-Mu-Er-Miao Liquid: Os Draconis30g, Concha Ostreae30g, Phellodendron Bark20g, Atractylodes Rhizome15g, Hairy Vein Agrimony30g, Brachylobus Ligusticum RootlOg, Sanguisorba Rootl5g, Biota Topsl5g. At the same time, the effected area applied with Flavenscent Sophora Root5g、Portulaca5g. European Verbena Herb5g (Zhong-Yao Lotion) cold liquid externally in20minutes twice a day for2months. The patients of control group taking Cetrizine Hydrochloride tablets orally once at night and0.1%Hydrocortisone Butyrate Cream twice a day for external use for2months.3Visits were scheduled on preliminary diagnosis,1,2,4,8weeks after treatment. Recorded the change of symptoms and the physical signs, including lesion of skin, disease severity, EASI score, VAS score, dermatology life quality index, adverse reaction, recurrence rate. Makes a follow-up visit for6months to all healing patients.4Clinical criteria: reference to the efficacy criteria on "Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Guidelines.".5Statistical methods:UsingSPSS18.0Statistical software, P<0.05significant.Result: There is no significant difference between The test group and control group of the comparisons of gender, age, course of disease, lesion of skin, disease severity, EASI scores, VAS scores and dermatology life quality index signs before the test (P>0.05),the two groups have comparability. Both The test group and control group experienced significant improvement respectively in the total scores of symptoms and signs including lesion of skin, disease severity, EASI scores, VAS scores (P<0.05). There is no significant difference between The test group and control group of the total scores of symptoms and signs before the test (P>0.05).The test group, disease severity and VAS scores of patients have improved after1weeks of the treatment, lesion of skin and EASI scores of patients have improved after2weeks of the treatment, all symptoms and signs showed no marked changes over8-weeks continuous treatment. The control group, lesion of skin, disease severity and VAS scores of patients have improved after1weeks of the treatment, EASI scores of patients have improved after2weeks of the treatment, but continuous treatment could not demonstrate symptoms and signs were improved. After6months follow-up, among patients of The test group there were3cases relapsed, the recurrence rate is7.9%, with the recurrence time of4.83±1.26months. among patients of The control group there were15cases relapsed, the recurrence rate is49.6%,with the recurrence time of3.83±1.52months.There was significant difference between The test group and control group of the recurrence rate after the test (P<0.05),but the difference between two groups of the recurrence time after the test was no significant (P>0.05).In The test group,there was anyother problems with safety indicators. In The control group, there are3cases with dizziness.The efficacy rates were82.9%and83.8%for The test group and control group respectively, with non-significance difference between two groups (P>0.05).Both The test group and control group experienced significant improvement respectively in the total DLQI scores (P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05). Relevent analysis found that DLQI scores were positively related to the EASI scores (P<0.05)Conclusion: Jia-Wei-Long-Mu-Er-Miao Liquid and Zhong-Yao Lotion in the treatment of Dampness-heat type eczema is effective and safe, with similar effect of Cetrizine Hydrochloride combined with0.1%Hydrocortisone Butyrate Cream. It can improve systemic symptoms and signs,reduced EASI scores and recurrence rate,ease itching with no significant side effects. At the same time, dermatology life quality index are positively related to EASI scores of the patients of eczema. Also that Can improve their allergies in patients with eczema, enhances the immunity of patients with eczema.
