In1993, on the basis of research by International Labour Organization, the UN reportpointed out: The world is going to be a world full of stress. The famous Swedish scholarsaid,The work stress/occupational stress is popular worldwide. So called occupationalstress refers to the individual’s physiological and psychological behavior as well as theconduct arising from the interaction between the individual and the environment under theoccupational circumstances, if the individual can not fully coordinate the individualdemand and the environmental demand. While the traditional occupational harms areeffectively controlled, the occupational tension which is caused by the long term workoverstress etc. has become a new occupational harm. Under the action of occupationalstress, the laborer may get tired easily, can pay attention to work, decline the workingcapability, etc., if the tension factor exists for long term, it may cause the obvious or (and)permanent effects, such as increase of absence, decrease of work satisfaction, and inducethe coronary heart disease, hypertension, neurasthenic syndrome and psychological disease. The occupation stress not only causes the psychological disorder to the laborer, but alsoinduces the psychological and physiological diseases, and the resulting psychological andphysiological fatigue, abnormal emotion and other bad psychological and physiologicalstatus may lead to the unsafe conduct of the individual, therefore it causes the potentialsafety hazard for. Occupational safety and occupational health are two distinct but closetasks in work safety, the scope of occupation safety in new era will exceed far more thanthe traditional occupational safety, it is growing towards the occupational safety, theoccupational health and the health improvement. The occupational stress not only impairsthe health of the labor, but also causes the unsafe conduct and lead to the accident. Therefore, while the state is paying attention to the occupational health, the key point ofsafety work is shifting from “giving priority to occupational safety “to “combination ofoccupational safety and occupational health”, and the occupational stress is becomingpredominant influence to occupational health, the study on the influence to, the principle ofand the measures taken against the occupational tension will have a significant mean formaintaining the occupational safety and health of the laborer as well as improving thesafety work in China. This paper mainly describes the study on the influence to and the principle ofoccupational tension as well as the theoretic model of occupational tension etc. Upon theabove study, this paper develops an occupational tension scaling, and verify its validity andreliability, meanwhile, it proposes to evaluate the individual’s occupational tension byimproved BP algorithm, and validate by examples, finally proposes the interventionmeasures against the occupational tension. With two main clues of interior influence andexterior influence to occupational tension, this paper launches the study on the influence tooccupational tension according to the classification of individual factor, occupational factorand social factor, and from the view of physiological and information processing whichcauses the occupational tension, it proposes the principle of occupational tension-theassociative mechanism of physiology and psychology, and on such basis, it proposes thetheoretic model of “pyramid” system of occupational tension, it considers the influence tooccupational tension as an interactive, dynamic and continuously-developing systemconsisting of individual factor, occupational factor and social factor. Upon study, on thebasis of the theoretic model of “pyramid” system, this paper develops a occupationaltension questionnaire, that is the occupational tension scaling, and investigates initially thelaborers in the industry of respiratory labor protective articles manufacture, and verify thevalidity and reliability of this questionnaire, and finally forms the formal questionnaire foroccupational tension. In order to effectively evaluate the occupational tension of theindividual, based on the principle of the occupational tension, this paper proposes toevaluate the individual’s occupational tension by improved BP neural network mode, andcomplies the BP algorithm program. It investigates the laborers in the industry ofrespiratory labor protective articles manufacture again by the formal questionnaire, andvalidates the occupational tension of part of the individuals by improved BP algorithm. Thevalidation indicates that the improved BP algorithm can effectively evaluate theoccupational tension of the individual. At last, this paper proposes the interventionmeasures against the influences to the occupational tension and verified them.
