| Along with the fast development of economy and society, China’s urbanization process is being pushed forward rapidly now. However, our country’s planning practice has long been dominated by the western urban planning theory, the generation process of which separates from China’s urban planning reality and therefore leads to great gap between the planning theory and China’s planning practice. In order to cover the gap and promote the sound development of China’s urban construction, we should combine the research of urban planning theory with China’s specific reality, that is to say, localization research on urban planning theory should be conducted. The urban planning theory in China, which is dominated by western theory and short of fairness, puts more emphasis on objects than human and neglects process. Under such background, the thesis carries out preliminary exploration on the localization of urban planning, which indicates that the urban planning process in our country possesses strong political attributes. The urban planning phenomenon is pushed forward basically by the behavioral orientation of participants, who are deeply influenced by traditional political culture and globalization. From the perspective of traditional culture, this thesis gives a profound analysis on the behavioral orientation of four major participants in the process of planning policy formulation and implementation. This paper is divided into ten chapters and organized by the logical framework of "four-part form". The first part mainly explains why this research topic is chosen. The second part (from Chapter Two to Chapter Seven) constructs the research’s fundamental theory and perspective framework. The third part (from Chapter Seven to Chapter Eight) is the subject content of the research. The fourth part (from Chapter Nine to Chapter Ten) is strategies, conclusions and prospects. The topic of this paper is a research on the basic theory of urban planning. As a relatively new proposition, this paper encounters many difficulties in the research process and part of the research content needs to be further improved. Therefore, the thesis still has a lot of immature places in many aspects, hoping to obtain support and encouragement. |
