The Cognition Of The Tradational Imaging Space And Its Conservation Researches Of The Historical Cities

Based on the traditional Chinese space aesthetic thought and theory, the thesisstudies on the six typical historical cities within the scope of Shaanxi province in theloess plateau, and tries to explore the true meanings of space aesthetics in China ancientcity build. Form the basis of the study in the traditional space of the city, puts forwardthe concept and its form of the tradational imaging space. It analyzes and summarizesthe tradational imaging space cognitive theory. At the same time, through of the casestudies to the typical city, try to apply the imaging space cognitive theory in theconservation of the historical cities in loess plateau area. It hopes to provide a newtheory perspective and methods.Through three aspects deep research of the traditional scene space cognitive modelsuch as “the cognitive approach”,“the cognitive structure level”,“cognitive style” andso on, this paper puts forward " the cognitive structure layer","the current structurelayer" and "the future structure layer" as three cognitive structure level of the traditionalimaging space cognition; Put forward the "environmental spatial cognition" and "visualperception of the tradition of" cognitive style.On the basis of the researching of the environment and human characteristics of thehistorical cities in the loess plateau of Shaanxi, the thesis has made their level anddistribution principle clear, and summarizes the historical the space form type of thecities. It generalized four kinds relation model between the mountain, water and the city.It also discusses the internal form types, group structure, spatial structure and patterns ofdifferent level cities. In the led of the concept of the imaging space, it researches the composition of the traditional imaging space of the loess plateau city. The paper alsoconcludes of the main components of traditional imaging space such as imaging surface,imaging elements, imaging path, imagery. This article also finds the psychologicalsource of aesthetic pursuit for Chinese traditional space from other four aspects.According to Chinese urban space build and cognitive philosophy thought, thepaper points out that the root of Chinese spatial cognition way has the characteristics of"image thinking". It put forward the concepts of tradational imaging space of historicalcities and points out that the traditional imaging space as a Chinese ideal space withChinese cultural schemata. This schema has symbolic and substantial features ofimagery both. Through the four different perspectives just like the idea of “makingthings according to the symbolist image” in the building, the ideal “feng shui” schema,the space order of "etiquette" and the traditional landscape artistic conception and so on,this paper discusses the symbolic characteristics of the traditional image spaces ofhistorical cities. From the relationship between imaging space and natural landscapespace pattern, the traditional city space construction, the "eight scene" mode andreligious culture space, this paper discusses the characteristics of “substantiality " of thetraditional imaging space in historical city, and points out that the traditional imagingspace in the historical city is the entity of "symbol" and “substance”.Finally combined with case study, the thesis probes the traditional imaging spacecognitive theory into the applications in the conservation of historical city in loessplateau.
