Since the birth of fractal theory,Scholars at home and abroad to use its in manyscientific fields have achieved fruitful results. In the field of geography,Based on thefractal theory to study problems such as river systems,topography,surface contour hasmature; In the field of urban planning,Whether micro macro system,medium cities,land,or complicated urban problems,are based on the study of the fractal theory tosolve,but these research are still in their infancy.Fractal method plays an obvious role insolving the problem of the city,more than ten years to become the focus of concern athome and abroad scholars.Shaanxi has the world typical geomorphic features of the loess plateau,its uniqueloess landform in the role of water,has formed thousands of mountains and valleys,river valley of the surface morphology,constitutes the regional urban space morphologyevolution of special matrix. In northern shaanxi loess plateau landform forming process,water effect is most obvious,studies have proved that the northern shaanxi loess plateauriver system with typical dendritic fractal characteristics. In northern shaanxi loessplateau urban space form in the process of evolution,river landscape,especially on theone hand,directly or indirectly acts on the development and expansion of urban system,make its produce different structure and change;On the other hand,it’s the main placefor the energy exchange and transformation between one town and another,become thebasis for the development of urban system. Fractal features of loess plateau in the roleof natural and man-made, profound changes. Fractal landform and urban system are mutual influence,prompt the regional living environment continuous developmentand changes.Under the action of fractal features, Shaanxi urban system also shows thecharacteristics of fractal structure. Therefore,northern shaanxi loess plateau region isthe typical demonstration area in study the coupling effect between the fractal landformand urban system spatial structure evolution. In this paper,The city of YanAn inshaanxi as an example,using fractal theory method,quantitative calculating the spatialstructure of urban system dimension,associated digits,grid dimension,throughcalculation to analysis its spatial structure. And on the basis of the effect of clearlyknowing the topographical features and fractal landform for the urban space structure,In this paper,the writer make a morphology research in the urban system spatialstructure and coupling relationship of fractal of YanAn in detail,in order to build asuitable mode of urban spatial structure in harmony with the YanAn regionalgeomorphic characteristics,and extended to the whole northern shaanxi loess plateauregion.This study got the subsidize of the natural science funds: the suitable pattern of urbanspatial form in energy-rich region of Northern Shannxi coupled with fractalgeomorphology(the funds number:51278411).
