The Cysteochila-group, including the genera with the paranota reflexed and rested on the pronotal disc, and the genus Stephanitis Stal from China are revised taxonomically in this dissertation.127species, of which,89species of16genera from Cysteochila-group and38species from Stephanitis, are recorded. Based on examined specimens,111of127species are described or redescried in detail. Other16ones are not redescried, because of the limitation of specimens. The type specimens and specimens corresponding to type of70species including the below31new species are checked in this study.A genus Parapenottus gen. nov. is established as new to science, of which, the type species is Penottus cassideus Dang, Li and Bu,2012.31species are described as new to science as follows (including9published ones):Baeochila concava sp. nov., Baeochila magna sp. nov.; Cysteochila bisinuosa sp. nov., Cysteochila guangxiensis sp. nov., Cysteochila hsiaoi sp. nov., Cysteochila triseriata sp. nov., Cysteochila typica sp. nov.; Heissiella processa sp. nov., Heissiella sinica Dang and Bu,2013; Penottus bisinuatus Dang, Li and Bu,2012, Penottus cassideus Dang, Li and Bu,2012, Penottus fujianensis Dang, Li and Bu,2012, Penottus tuberculiformis Dang, Li and Bu,2012, Penottus distanti sp. nov.; Physatocheila hui sp. nov., Physatocheila oviformis sp. nov., Physatocheila yunnanensis sp. nov.; Trachypeplus depressus Dang, Guilbert and Bu,2013, Trachypeplus jingae Dang, Guilbert and Bu,2013, Trachypeplus parafulgoris Dang, Guilbert and Bu,2013; Zeiratingis hainanensis Dang, Li and Bu,2014; Stephanitis bifurcatis Dang, Li and Bu sp. nov., Stephanitis fuscata sp. nov., Stephanitis guangxiensis sp. nov., Stephanitis lindera sp. nov., Stephanitis longlingensis sp. nov., Stephanitis magna sp. nov., Stephanitis nigra sp. nov., Stephanitis paralaudata sp. nov., Stephanitis zhengi sp. nov.Six new combinations are proposed, namely, Trachypeplus brailovskyi (Pericart,1992), comb. nov., which is original from the genus Physatocheila; Parapenottus bisinuatus (Dang, Li and Bu,2012), comb. nov., Parapenottus cassideus (Dang, Li and Bu,2012), comb. nov., Parapenottus fujianensis (Dang, Li and Bu,2012), comb. nov., Parapenottus tibetanus,(Drake and Maa,1954), Parapenottus tuberculiformis (Dang, Li and Bu,2012) comb. nov., all these five species are original from the genus Penottus.Three genera named Heissiella Pericart,1984, Xynotingis Drake,1948, Zeiratingis Drake and Ruhoff,1961and four species named Trachypeplus brailovskyi (Pericart,1992), comb. nov., Cysteochila enthenia Drake and Ruhoff,1965, Stephanitis assamana Drake and Maa,1954and Xynotingis hoytana Drake,1948are newly recorded in China.Three species in Jing (1981) are approved to be misidentification:Dictyla rasilis is actually Dictyla sauteri (Drake,1923); Trachypeplus jacobsoni is actually Trachypeplus jingae Dang, Guilbert and Bu,2013, Stephanitis nitoris is actually Stephanitis bifurcatis sp. nov..Based on the type specimens or photogrophs of type specimens, the following species are firstly redescibed since they were established:Cysteochila monstrosa (Scott,1874), Cysteochila consueta Drake,1948, Cysteochila consanguinea (Distant,1909), Dictyla rasilis (Drake and Maa,1955), Dictyla subdola (Horvath,1905), Trachypeplus brailovskyi (Pericart,1992), comb, nov., Stephanitis esakii Takeya,1931, Stephanitis outouana Drake and Maa,1953, Stephanitis pagana Drake and Maa,1953, Stephanitis nitoris Drake and Poor,1937, Stephanitis exigua Horvath,1912, Stephanitis aperta Horvath,1912; Stephanitis subfasciata Horvath,1912, Stephanitis fasciicerina Takeya,1931.Keys to involved genera and involved species, as well as photographs of habituses and illustrations among111species, are provided in this dissertation.
