The spatial data is the blood of geographic information systems, distributed heterogeneousspatial data access and integration has been the focus of the study and the difficulty point in thefield of GIS. The emergence of grid technology, provides new ideas to build a new generation ofgrid geographic information system, but also provides a new approach to solve the problem ofspatial data access and integration.OGSA-DAI is a distributed heterogeneous data access and integration grid middleware ingrid environment. At present, extending OGSA-DAI to support spatial data is a better way of thespatial data access and integration under grid environment. The dissertation reseaches deeplyabout spatial data access and integration technology based on grid middleware, specific studiesand the results are as follows:(1)In accordance with the WSRF grid specification, designed a spatial data access andintegration of grid middleware, named with WSRF-SDAI. Extended OGSA-DAI from dataresources, functional components, service presentation layers three aspects to support spatial data,Achieved distributed heterogeneous spatial data access and integration functions of WSRF-SDAI,soluted the distribution and heterogeneity of spatial data.(2)Packaged WFS, WCS, WMS as spatial data resources supported in the gridenvironment, follows the OGC specifications and WSRF specification in the same times,provides a combination of OGC specifications and grid specification.(3)Researched the spatial data resources management technology in the grid environment,from the three levels: management of spatial data resources in the grid middleware itself, usingMDS manage spatial data resources in each virtual organization, designed cluster MDS registryto manage spatial data resources throughout the grid environment.(4)Researched the workflow engine based on the functional components of the gridmiddleware, described the method of grid middleware workflow for distributed processing ofspatial data; in order to make full use of grid resources and services, introduced the method aboutfunctional components based workflow and service-based workflow integration use.(5)On the basis of existing spatial database query specifications and spatial data servicesquery specifications, researched spatial data distributed query technology based grid middleware,and described a distributed query method support both spatial databases and spatial data services.(6)Built a grid spatial data access and integration experimental systems, achived sharingand management of spatial data resources in the grid environment, building distributed spatialdata processing workflow and spatial data distributed query functions. Then applied the researches in the863projects.
