Evaluation Of Tourism Industry Security In Henan Province

Under the condition of integration with touring economic, tourism industry is confronting with lots of insecure factors as economic crisis, terrorism, natural disasters, the imbalance between supply and demand and so on, which showing an upward trend in the frequency and leading directly to the insecurity of tourist economy operation. In such a complex social - economic - cultural system, protecting the safe of the tourism industry has become a burning problem that tourism administration and tourism industry need to solve. Chinese scholars mainly focused on the security of tourism activities and tourists, while the research on tourism industry security being in its infancy.By analyzing the basic concepts and content of tourism industry security, this dissertation probes into internal and external influencing factors affecting the tourism industry security, by which evaluation index system is built consequently. Giving importance to plenty of key factors that tourism industry security involves and closed interrelation of each index, the author selects fuzzy integral evaluation method to make quantitative evaluation on the tourism industry security in Henan province.On the basis of collecting and displaying evaluation data, this dissertation firstly conduct san exploratory analysis to tourism industry security in Henan province by means of principal component analysis, which revealing its fundamental trend of security level. secondly, fuzzy integration method is used to evaluated the security status of tourism industry development in Henan Province according to national and 31 provincial tourism development data, reasonable setting of early warning indicating security, measuring index scores by mapping formula; after then, Henan province is ranked in contrast with the other 31 provinces in terms of security status.The main conclusions are:(1)Building evaluation framework of the tourism industry security.Based on the theory of industrial security, the competitiveness of region tourism industry, tourism crisis management, the sustainable development of tourism industry, etc. established the framework of security assessment. It includes concept and intension of tourism industry security, evaluation index system of the tourism industry security, early warning indicating security, and case studies. It shows that framework has practical value by case studies of tourism industry security in Henan.(2)Build evaluation index system of the tourism industry security and setting of early warning indicating security.Based on the theory of industrial security, the competitiveness of region tourism industry, tourism crisis management, the sustainable development of tourism industry, etc. by analyzing interior and external factors of tourism industry security, building evaluation index system from living environment of tourism industry, competitiveness of tourism industry, FTD of tourism industry, 13 elements, select 36 observation indicators; according to 31 provincial tourism development data, reasonable setting of early warning indicating security. Evaluation index system of the tourism industry security and early warning indicating security applies to form initial stage to rapid growth stage of the tourism industry.(3)Introduce fuzzy integration method, solve technical problems in evaluation of tourism industry security.Fuzzy integration method is nonlinear function basis of fuzzy measure, no strict for indexes that are independent, so it can be used to evaluate the relationship between indexes are relevant and applicable to the tourism industry security. The paper combines fuzzy integration method and early warning indicating security, adjusts index scores of mapping formula for fuzzy integration method.(4)The level of tourism industry security has improved continuously in Henan province, it is basically safe.From 1999 to 2008, the development of the tourism industry in Henan province is basically safe. Security level has improved continuously; the environment of the tourism industry, industrial competitiveness, security level of three main factors which influence industry's external dependence rises in different degrees respectively; support of the government, environment, factors of the labor force, the domestic market demand and other factors show an increasing level of security situation while three sub-elements like economic, social and financial environment show a downward trend.The government support for the tourism industry, ecological environment, the labor factor and domestic demand shows upward trend, while environmental of economic, social and financing, show downward trend. The effectiveness competitiveness, structural competitiveness and development potential show upward trend, except Market competitiveness. The safety of capital dependent is upward, while the safety of market dependence has downward trend.The security levels of the tourism industry in Henan province is in the middle position after the order in 31 provinces and cities. Through vigorous development of tourism industry in recent years, it has raised its rank.Based on evaluation of tourism industry security by fuzzy integration method in Henan province, the paper put forward suggestion for tourism industry security, from the tourism industry security management, early warning system of tourism industry, solves the financing difficulties, developing enterprise groups and tourism industry clusters, building innovation system of tourism industry, promoting tourism product innovation and overseas marketing,etc.
