As an advanced automatic identification technology which tracks objects with tags through radio frequency, RFID has the great potential to revolutionize the supply chain by supporting the decision of SCM with standard and integrated real-time information. Just like many other new technologies, the process of the application of RFID in SCM will follow a certain path. The research of the SCM with RFID, therefore, becomes a very urgent topic and has great theoretical sense and real value.The main contents could be summarized as follows:(1) A study of the business process and general architecture of the SCM system with RFID. Firstly, discusses the application of RFID in raw material supply, production, logistics, sales and after-sales. The business processes of each typical application are also studied. Secondly, the general design and the system architecture of the SCM system with RFID are given, the characteristics, the reorganization and the architecture of the system is also discussed. Next, a VMI-TPL system based on RFID in automobile parts supply is designed. Finally, the information integration of the SCM system with RFID is analyzed.(2)A study of the evaluation of the project of SCM with RFID. Firstly, discusses the classification of real options embedded in the project of SCM with RFID and puts forward a structural model of the real option evaluation method of the project of SCM with RFID, the process of the identification of the real options embedded in RFID project is also proposed step by step; Secondly, discusses the parameters in the real option evaluation of the SCM project with RFID. The formula to calculate the best investment time is presented too. Lastly, two illustration examples are given.(3) A study of the related issues of the adoption of the SCM with RFID. Firstly, based on the TAM model and the consideration of security concerns, analyzes the consumers' acceptance attitude towards RFID with the method of factor analysis and structural equation modeling; then, reviews the conception of trust and trust in SCM, the basis of trust and the classification of trust in SCM, also analyzes the risk of trust in SCM with RFID and discusses the fostering of trust in supply chain.(4) A study of the mechanism of the game theory and benefit sharing in the diffusion of RFID in SCM. Firstly, analyzes the function of subsidy policy in the diffusion of RFID by game theory; Then, studies the benefit sharing among SCM members and discusses the allocation principles, the affecting factors and allocating methods, and the systematic structure of the benefit allocating system is also put forward; Next, the calculation of the weightiness of each factor affecting the benefit sharing is discussed with entropy method and G1 method and a simulation model is given.(5) A study of the application and the diffusion of RFID in automobile supply chain. Firstly, examples of RFID applied in parts supply, auto making, distribution, sales and after-sale are presented. Then, summarizes the main factors which affect the diffusion of RFID in automobile supply chain and analyzes the affecting factors accordingly; lastly, suggestions on application and diffusion of RFID in automobile supply chain are given.The final chapter of the dissertation concludes the entire dissertation and illustrates the directions of the future research.
