With the economic globalization and enterprise informationization,the competition between enterprises become more and more intensely, especially with the diversification demand of market.As a important part of human resources in corporation,the professional managers(PM) play an important role in the decision making.It happened in many facts that the success of a business enterprise depend on whether it chose the right professional managers.Nowadays,the theorists and practitioners concern more about the recruitment and selection of the senior professional managers,however,we also have to notice the medium professional managers' important role of a bridge connecting the senior and junior PM,because they still determine the future of an enterprise together with the other people.So,it' s necessary for us to discuss the recruitment and selection of the medium professional managers,which is of vital practical significance for the development of the enterprise and the economy.There are eight chapters according to the subject matter of paper:In chapter 1 we defined the concepts of professional manager and entrepreneur,and produced the research background.You can see the framework and main content of the research,and also the thinking train and method of research.The chapter 2 reviewed theories about the recruitment and selection of the professional managers,including the theory of human capital, trust-agency theory,the contractual theory of the firm,entrepreneur theories,competence and position matching theory et al.The chapter 3 introduced the competency mode of the medium professional manager.After an analysis of the current research on professional manager, we got the competency mode of the medium professional manager in an empirical way. The chapter 4 analyzed the factors which influenced the recruitment and selection of the medium professional managers,including the social culture,the strategy,culture,life periods of the enterprise,the type of the enterprise et al.Finally,it pointed out that the establishment of the managerial labor market is a basis for the recruitment and selection of the medium professional manager.In chapter 5 we discussed how these factors influenced the recruitment and selection of the medium professional manager,such as the mechanism of supply and demand,the system of performance evaluation and incentive. And then we gave some pieces of advice to establish the professional managerial labor market.The chapter 6 and 7 analyzed the recruitment and selection of the medium professional manager in detail respectively from the inside and outside of the enterprise,including the process and approach of the recruitment and selection.Further more,we also figured out the common problems and countermeasures of the recruitment and selection.Finally,we gave a systematical analysis on the mechanism of the recruitment and selection of the medium professional manager in chapter 8.The innovative traits of this research lies in which it hackled the theory of the recruitment and selection of the medium professional manager, and established the system of the recruitment and selection of the medium professional manager on the basis of empirical analysis on the competency mode of the medium professional manager.This research widened the realm of the research on professional manager and widened the research on the recruitment and selection.The system of the recruitment and selection of the medium professional manager can also provide reference in practice.
