In the 21st century, industry-university-research institution strategic alliance has become an important mode of science and technology innovation. At present, industry-university-research institution strategic alliance develops rapidly. But, its rapid development is associated with the high failure rate.According to the investigation, more than half of all alliance is in failure. In China, industry-university-research institution strategic alliance faces the same problem. The high failure rate has badly influenced the enterprises'enthusiasm. In a word, industry-university -research institution strategic alliance is not a stable cooperation mode.What factors influence and decide the stability of strategic alliance? And, how can the efficient and stable operation of strategic alliance been kept. So, influencing factors and governance mechanism need to be studied deeply.This dissertation mainly studied on the followings:â‘ The influencing factors are analysized systemically, and the stability mechanism of strategic alliance is deeply explored and depicted quantitatively.Combined with present situation and comparative analysis of industry-university-research institution cooperation and autobile product development alliance at home and abroad, the influencing factors are put forward based on Transaction Cost Theory, Resource-based Theory, Game Theory and Synergy Theory, including information communication, resource sharing, mutual trust, benefit distribution, risk sharing, supervision and defense, organizational learning.â‘¡The operation mechanism of product development alliance is established based on alliance cooperation, mutual trust, benefit distribution and supervision and defense.According to the importance of product design in technology development and based on cooperative perspective, the iteration convergence laws of total task amount and total time amount are studied based on Synergy Theory and Matrix Theory. According to the laws, the influencing factors of alliance stability are explored based on product design stage. The factors include information communication, knowledge accumulation and continuous optimization and resource integration and sharing. Based on the three aspects, the alliance cooperation mechanism is established. The cooperation mechanism is depicted as follows: By information communication and feedback, resource integration and sharing, knowledge accumulation and optimization, different activities and links are connected and interpenetrated to optimally allocation and efficiently utilized the staff, tools, knowledge, data, information and other resources to improve cooperative product design level and the stability of industry-university- research institution strategic alliance.Based on Game Theory and System Theory, trust game process is studied with supervision and without supervision. The result shows that:1) discreditable behavior can be prevented to some extent by introducing credit supervision institution;2) efficient discredit punishment mechanism can make the member's discredit cost high than its benefit, so members will change its policy choice.3) efficient information transmission system can make the member's credit record open to restrict their discredit behaviors.According to the present situation of alliance risks, benefit distribution mechanism based on risk compensation is established based on the Nash bargaining theorem and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The result shows that this mechanism can not only depict the risk compensation process, but also prevent the instability caused by unfair benefit distribution.According to Game Theory, evolutionary game model and supervision mechanism is established. Based on this, the influence of spillover effect, supervision and defense measures on evolutionary stability is deeply analysized. The result shows that:1) cooperation spillover can inhibit the occurrence of opportunism behavior and is helpful to establishment of code of conduct in the strategic alliance.2) with the increasing amount of cooperation spillover, the whole alliance is in the instable state and the alliance benefit decreases.3) dominant position and core competence can be kept by increasing the supervision and defense cost, but it is not helpful to innovation diffuse and the stability of strategic alliance.â‘¢Combined with the present situation and existing problems, policies and suggestions are proposed to improving stability of industry-university-research institution cooperation of China's automobile industry. The policies and suggestions are as follows:1) System of indigenous development of autobile product;2) Mode of indigenous innovation of autobile industry; 3) The innovation mechanism based on benefit and risk sharing should be established;4) The government should play its public function role actively and correctly;5) To establish the mutual turst mechanism;6) To establish the expedit communication channels;7) To establish the supervision and defense mechanism.
