The competition among modern enterprises has been strategically adjusted from the opposite competition to the cooperative competition on a grand scale. As a creative form of organization, the emergent strategic alliance is a win-win model which creates a harmonious and ecological environment for the enterprises. Dialectically, the strategic alliance can be called a "double-edged sword". On the one hand, it can bring great profits to enterprises; on the other hand, it can lower the normal profits because of its possible break-up due to its instability. Therefore, how to keep the stability of the strategic alliance is a problem that needs to be deeply analyzed. However, the recent academic researches on the stability in our country mostly focus on the general descriptive concepts. In terms of the researches on the alliance among the automotive enterprises, few are about the stability, whereas most concentrate on the necessity or the feasibility of establishing such an alliance. Therefore, according to the logical method for analyzing a problem, that is, posing, analyzing and solving this dissertation, focusing on the automotive enterprises, combines the theory concerning the strategic alliance and the problems faced by the Chinese automotive industry, and analyzes several factors that may affect the stability of the alliance. Based on the life cycle theory and the analysis on those factors, it also tries to construct a systematic model controlling the stability, which is expected to reduce the risk of instability as much as possible and keep the development of the alliance as a whole quick and efficient.
