The Research On Success Factors Of Agent Construction Projects Based On Project Governance

The construction and management model of public project in China is being reformed, in which agent construction is one of the main approach. Some features that public projects are different from common project determine that the success factors of agent construction projects should not limit to the success factors for common projects. Therefore, this dissertation does research mainly on how to consider the particularity of agent construction project based on the framework of common project's success factors. Based on literature review, analytical method of the economics theory, stakeholders and empirical research method, this dissertation does research on above problem, and the main contents is as followed:1. By the literature review of agent construction and the discrimination of relevant concepts of project success, form the research object of the dissertation. By reviewing the literatures at home and abroad, determine the focus of the dissertation, which is how to find out the success factors which is different from common projects and presents the characristics of public project.2. Summarizing the resources, definitions and application of project governance theory and stakeholder, and then analyzing the characteristics of ownership based on the principal-agent relationship of public project, based on which does research on project governance structure.3. Study on forcing route of success factors of agent construction project based on project governance. By analyzing the success factors of common project, applying the analyzing framework into agent construction project, considering the particularity of agent construction project, identifying the stakeholders of agent construction projects, and finally determining the value of the project according to interests demand of each stakeholder. Furthermore, this dissertation does research on the way to improve the management performance of agent construction projects, and does research on the forcing route of agent construction project's success from the two aspects: internal governance and external governance.4. Building evaluation index and evaluation model of agent construction project's success. By analysis of formation mechanism of management performance of agent construction project and building principles of evaluation index system, this dissertation forms the evaluation index system of management performance of agent construction project, based on which builds evaluation model by benchmarking. 5. Empirical research. This dissertation does research on success factors of agent construction project by questionnaire, determines critical success factors by factor analysis, correlation analysis and demonstrates the research results effectively.
