An Analysis And A Study On The Cases And Measures In FDI And The Revitalization Of Traditional Industrial Bases Of Northeast China

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), as an economic phenomenon serious and important in the development of world economy, was in a rapid growing tendency in the late 1990s. Since the reform and opening to the outside world, FDI had been actively and fully utilized so that China has been one of the countries in the world to which the most foreign investment has been attracted. Foreign investment produces a material pushing effect on the rapid economic growth of our country. For a multitude of reasons such as the state's developing strategic orientation and the regional factors, the areas in Northeast China are in a lagging status in the reform and opening to the outside world and in a relatively lower level in the utilization of FDI. The strategy, applied in 2003 in our country, to revitalize the traditional industrial bases in Northeast China has brought about a historic opportunity to the areas in Northeast China for its overall revitalization, further reform and opening up as well as the raising of foreign investment utilizing level.This study aims at, with FDI and revitalization of traditional industrial bases in Northeast China as the objects, under the guidance of relevant FDI theory and regional development theory, on the basis of reality of traditional industrial bases in Northeast China in attracting and utilizing FDI, creatively making a study on some issues concerning the regional choice for FDI in the traditional industrial bases and how more FDI to be actively dealt with and attracted in...
