The subject of this thesis is trying to analyze the fundamental essentials that determine international competitiveness of Chinese economy, and make a uptrend prognostication about its prospect and sequel. The content mainly includes three aspects:1.The thesis centers on three objects that closely contact one another and their contents entirely consistent, namely, a conception, a model and an equation. Analysis of them makes the theoretical basis of this thesis on which the topic will be splay.A concept: Namely the concept of international competitiveness. Due to different focal points, methods and theoretical basis in the study of Competitiveness, different research institutions render different definitions about international competitiveness. This thesis mainly starts with the point of view of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and International Management Development (IMD), on that basis, the author generalized his own definition of International Competitiveness: International Competitiveness is the capability of a state to provide environmental support to enterprises to create value added, and the capacity that firms can equivalently produce more wealth than its foreign competitors. It's also a kind of capacity that a state or an enterprise successfully putts now-available assets into transforming process and creating value added. It includes the whole actuality and the level of development, together with strength and potentiality of growth of a state or an enterprise.A model: An International Competitiveness Model constructing on two-decks of state and enterprise interacting each other. Generally speaking, the competitiveness of enterprise stands on the core, which makes fundamental force determining the competitiveness of a country's economy. It seems especially important to analyze the competitiveness of state firstly, because enterprise competitiveness greatly depends on the environment support that the state or government provides for it to create value added. Analysis of state's competitiveness embarks from eight large essential fields. They include Domestic Economy, Internationalization, Government, Finance, Infrastructure, Management, Science & Technology, and People.
