Ownership which is the foundation of all socio-economic relationship, can be analyzed from several layers with various angles. For example a specialized discussion can be launched on the relationships between different ownerships in the socio-economic system. Some special ownership such as the stock ownership and the mixed ownership can be elaborated. The study of the relationships between assign system and the adjustment of industrial structure is also an appropriate example. From the angle of the ontology, the philosophy research which can be symbolized by the theoretical analysis dialectically with the method of combination of theory with practice and the measure of logic in conformity to history on ownership can discover the abstruse meanings and serve for the practice. This paper makes efforts to study the ownership not only based on the Marxist basic theories and the real life in the primary stage of socialism in China but also draw the conclusion from the evolution and the trend of the development process. So the train of thoughts of the paper is to draw an outline about the ownership by generalizing the essences and the basic structure, as well as describing the basic functions and the trend of development. Then the introspection about the theories and practice of ownership in socialism countries and the perspective of the reform of ownership in socialism market economy in China can help to give a foreground in the future.Besides introduction and conclusion, the thesis is divided into six chapters.Chapter I which lays the theoretical foundations of the following chapters regards the definition of ownership is very important. For the purpose of analysis, this paper gives brief summary in the main standpoints on ownership which were obtained in recently research in China, analyzing the differences between the broad sense and narrow sense and the comparative analysis on correlation about ownership and relation of production is needed.
