Study On Optimizing The Organization Structure Of Business Group

The business group is a kind of united firms. It has played an important role in economic development in many countries (and will continue play in the future), including in China after nearly twenty years' development. But in the same period, more and more problems of management and economic system were revealed, such as management chaos, inner conflict, low competitiveness. It is urgent to rebuild the modern management system of business group in China. The core task to achieve the goal is to optimize the organization structure of business group.The purpose of this dissertation is to study on the nature of the business group, to explain what is the business group and why it is formed, to establish the frame of optimizing the organization structure of business group, including the contents, the procedures and the essential ways of optimizing, to analysis on the optimization of the organization structure of business group in China and to give the specific ways and the countermeasures of optimizing. With the methods of intergrate economics and management in both theory and practice, we get some conclusions;First, the appearance and development of an organizational form are decided by the orgarizational efficiency. Being an organizational form, the business group appears for it's efficiency higher than either firm or market, and it's boundary is also depended on it's efficiency. Either the establishment or the development of business group is a process for higher efficiency in economic activity. So we think that the reason of optimizing the organization structure of business group is to improve the organizational efficiency.Second, both the patterns and the ways to improve the organizational efficiency of business group are formed in specified environment of economy, institution, market, social psychology and industrial level. That is the reason there are great difference among business groups in different countries. So we should not only against following western countries regardless conditions in China, but also absorb the mature experiences and general laws of business group development in Western countries in optimizing the organization structure of business group in China.Third, there are three basic ways to optimize the organization structure of business group: organization re-structuring, property re-composing, and mechanism optimizing. Organization restructuring means to choose proper organization structure form of business group after considering comprehensively on the industry, the pattern of production & service, the scale, the scattered region, and the environment of business group. Property re-composing means to integrate or separate the inner and outer properties of business group. Mechanism optimizing means to improve and innovate on the decision-making mechanism, informational mechanism and impelling mechanism.
