The firm's core competence is the source of its sustainable development and the root of the its competitive advantage. As the result of the inosculation of the strategy management theory and economics, its naissance indicate a new researched pattern of the strategy management. However, few managers could claim to have utilized a core competence to achieve success in a marketplace, and even fewer to have built or known how to built a core competence, and what is more impossible, the managers could very easily detect the combinatorial form of the core competence consisted by some capabilities, apperceive the critical domain where the current core competence become inoperative, and predict the evolving trace of the core competence in the future. In fact, the above problems are all in the category of the research on how to mine the firm's core competence. Just the category which connected with the the choice of the firm's strategy, so, if these problems in which, cannot be resolved effectively, then some harm to the firm's development and sustainable competitive advantage maybe still exist in a long period. Therefore, how to mining the core competence become oneof the most important tasks of the strategy management, and what is more important in China, inasmuch as a lot of Chinese firms are expecting their firms can be developed faster and better.Now, the researches of mining core competence have obtained quite a few achievements, but the researches still include some limits, which especially emerge from the question that a lot of researchers ignore, more or less, the fact that the organization environment have been turbulent since 1970s. What bring about some issues, such as that the fundament of mining model isn't renewed along with the new theory research of core competence and is quite shortage of the systemic info, mining model cannot reflect the dynamic relation of the core competence and organization environment, and is shortage of the more efficient technique to support it.For the purpose of resolving the above problems, the dissertation deeply discusses the system info, design and supporting technique of mining model in the turbulent organization environment, connecting the actual condition of the recent mining research and in the light of the effective, systemic, practical, agile and heuristic principles, and puts forwards some new definitions, theories and method, on the foundation of the existing research accomplishment and theories of complex system, organization economics, organization and environment, decision science and strategy management, as well as the techniques of statistics, OR, uncertain multiple attribute decision-making and uncertain self-organization mining.Having reviewed the development trend of the theory researches and the situation of application research on the core competence mining, this dissertation selects the evolvement mechanism of core competence and dynamic relation of core competence and organization environment as the important breakthrough point of the mining research and makes great efforts on the mining model in the turbulent organization environment. In the light of the general process to research systemic problem, the paper research the following five parts, in turn, where the first is the theory foundation of mining model, the second is the overall design of the mining experimental system, the third is the model design of the system, the fourth is the exploitation of mining technique, the fifth is the application of the experimental system.At first, the current concept of the core competence of the firm based the literatures is examined from the views of the relation of organization and environment, as well as complex system. By means of the power from the two famous theories probing into complex system, Dissipative Structure and Synergetics built by Prigogine and Haken, respectively, a firm may be treated as a complex self-organization and adaptive system, the state of firm in turbulent environment may be regarded as located on or near the critical point far from equilibrium, the core competence can be thought as the order parameters of the complex self-organization system of the firm in critical state. So, the core competence tokens the synergistical effect of the collective learning in the firm organization, especially how to coordinate diverse production skills and integrate multiple streams of technologies, and runs through the whole firm system by the network consisted of the various value chains of information. On the other hand, the core competence acts a role of distinct capabilities or fluctuation in some organizational ecosystem where the firm living, and exerts observable influence on the evolution of the whole organizational ecosystem. That is to say, the core competence is not only the synthesis of the inner synergic efficiency, but also the synthesis of the outside synergic effectiveness in some organizational ecosystem. This new conception of the core competence can harmonize the internal, external and dynamic perspective on core competence together, and can explain the specialities of core competence, such as path dependent or rigidity, etc.. These research reveal that the pattern recognition including the enterpriser's strategic choices is a quite important precondition during the original and evolutional process of core competence, and the core competence is of the some essential characters, such as protection, internal synergic, valuable, evolutional, hierarchy, external synergic, etc., which may embrace those viewpoints on the characters nowadays identified by other scholars. Besides that, the new characters and conception of core competence may answer those vexed questions, such as why the core competence it can be researched in general firm, why it is dynamic, why it is difficult-to-imitate, why it is commensal with turbulent environment, why its con-, ception is a space-time category, why its evolutive direction may be influenced by the manager of the firm, etc.. These research on core competence ont only provide the the-oretic evidences, but also point out the research direction of the mining model design and its related mining technique of core competence.The second, two problems is researched in the paper, one is the overall design of the mining model, another is the mining concept models. Based the viewpoints of competitive advantage from economics theory(industrial organization theory, Schum-peterian theory, Chamberlinian theory) and firm capabilities theory(resources-based, knowledge-based and dynamic capabilities view of the firm), the overall design of mining model is built on the theoretic relationship between core competence and sustainable competitive advantage or firm's performance, and the mined area is selected those firm's resources, capabilities and knowledge which may create a competitive advantage.And then, based the sum-up of the nowadays mining concept models of core competence and the above overall design, three main concept models are built, which are internal synergic model, external synergic model and internal and external synergic model. And more, the turbulent mining model is built on the three models, which is a turbulent-environment-oriented artificial and analogical system. The limited-rational managers may renew their old pattern recognition and according to the new pattern recognition, enact the possible developing state of the firm's capabilities and performance, again and again, by means of the new output of the artificial and analogical system. This process circulates until the satisfying core competence of the firm in the realistic or future turbulent environment or its developing route is found. Thereafter, the problem how to do pattern recognition in the turbulent model is specialized. The fact indicate the information expression in pattern recognition may be the forms of uncertain information, such as rough, fuzzy, stochastic, interval or real number, etc.. So, when the turbulent mining model is applied to mine the core competence of a firm, in practice, some uncertain mining technique must be created before.Because the nowadays mining technique can't wholly sustain the complex technical request of the turbulent mining model. Therefore, some special mining techniques are built to solve the question of comparison among the various kinds of information, such as real, fuzzy, interval, rough, etc., when mining the core competence by exter-nal synergic model, which are called MMADM and UMADM. And then, the linear rough model technique and rough group method for data handling (RGMDH) is presented to solve the more difficult problems in the internal synergic model, that is to find what combination of capabilities can create the firm's performance, which isn't often identified by the managers, especially in the high complex and uncertain turbulent organization environment. Among these techniques, the RGMDH is not only of artificial intelligence, but also a man-machine interactive system with trial mechanism which is designed to provide the DM more complete information of results, and provide a good decision support for the DM. Besides, the RGMDH is also a efficient tool for mid-term or long-run prediction, even if the sample only includes one sub-sample.At last, two firms producing white spirit in Sichuan Province are selected as the experimental objects. Here, the experimental objective is to check the effectiveness of the turbulent mining model and mining techniques created by the paper. For the purpose, Some important data, obtained from the Finance Department and the Statistics Bureau of Sichuan Province, are input the experimental system and get the satisfying results. In the part, the other research work also include the design of programme for the two core mining model that are the external synergic model and internal model, respectively. The design of programme maybe become the basis of decision supporting system for turbulent mining research on the firm's core competence.In the dissertation, the theory, model and technique of turbulent mining research are discussed deeply, which advance the theory foundation of the mining research from endogenetic view to dynamic view. The dissertation points out the pattern recognition built by firm's managers act as an very important linker between the core competence and turbulent organization environment, in the process of the advancement. Just the behavior of firm's managers is brought into the set of the elements consisting the mining model, the effectiveness of the mining experimental system can be enlarged, and the linkage of the firm's competence research and organization economics which stand for the mainstream, can be achieved. Besides that, the research work of the dissertation is also helpful to discuss and exploit the cross field of the strategy management and complex system. Undoubtedly, these researches included in the dissertation arealso helpful to develop, improve, prompt the mining research on the core competence.
