Economic Development Of Rural Leisure Studies

Along with the development of society and economy and the day-by-day improvement of people's living condition, leisure, as a kind of new life-style, is affecting people's life. After the Chinese traditional festivals are included in the leisure time, people's leisure time is increased, and people have new understandings and higher requirements for the quality of life during leisure time. The development of leisure economy relies on certain economic basis and enough leisure time which people have on one hand, and mainly depends on people's income, the length of national holidays, leisure demand and the development of leisure industry on the other.Leisure is one of the important motives of consumption. Leisure consumption demand relates to every person, which not only has the economic and marketing significance, but also has social and cultural significance. This new demand of consumption is not only a product of physical aspects, but also a product of the culture and spirit. It will lead to a construction of new industrial chain and new socially cultural relation.Leisure in countryside is one kind of leisure activities and primitive life style, which is based on agricultural resources and rural natural resources. Its development is based on rural tourism, but does not equate to rural tourism. Leisure in countryside has many derivatives and very strong industrial correlation, which integrates rural local customs, folk culture, local characteristics, natural landscape, humanism landscape all in one, thus making leisure consumers willing to spend more time here, relaxed and comfortable and bringing changes of the consumption pattern.The development of leisure in countryside is based on economic and social developing. The economic and social development makes people have new understandings of leisure which not only can change people's attitude towards life and enhance people's happiness index, but also produce economic benefits and a wide range of social benefits. Leisure in countryside promotes the transformation of agricultural economy and rural economy for one hand, provides an opportunity to improve the people's livelihood for another. Meanwhile, the development of leisure in countryside can not be separated from the market and resources. The development of leisure in countryside should be oriented by the market, supported by resources and guaranteed by tourists. The development of leisure in countryside needs well-developed information networks, sound infrastructures and perfect service systems, which make the transmission of goods, information, people more convenient than before.At present, Chinese Academic circles has lots of studies about rural tourism economics, mostly confined in a local area or a province or a city. But an overall or general study, especially a research on framework of rural leisure economy is rare. Rural leisure economy has successful theories and practices abroad, whose experiences can be drawn on by China.Guided by the national "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" and "National Tourism Development Planning Outline", the target of the paper is in line with the national development strategy. On the basis of the supply-demand theory, Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, behavioral science theory, leisure multiplier theory, sustainable development theory, and on account of the achievements of domestic and foreign existing researches, by using the literature method, the combination method of theory and practice, the combination method of normative analysis and empirical analysis and other methods, the paper describes the necessity, importance and practical example of the development of China's rural leisure economy, demonstrates the actual conditions and foundations of the development of rural leisure economy from two perspectives of market and resources, points out the problems and bottlenecks for the development of rural leisure economy. Meanwhile, by analyzing and studying the successful experiences of domestic and foreign development of leisure economy, combining with the actual situation of China's rural economy, the paper puts forward suggestions on how to develop the China's rural leisure economy and the countermeasures for its system construction. The paper has three points of innovation. Firstly, the thesis has certain research value and innovation. At present, although there are lots of domestic and foreign scholars studying on rural tourism economy, most of them mainly focus on a local area or a province or a city. The overall or general level researches are rare, when the researches especial on the system construction of rural leisure economy development are less; Secondly, the content is clear, forward-looking and consistent with national strategy. The guiding principle of the paper is from the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" and the "National Tourism Development Planning Outline", so it has explicit target and realistic significance; Thirdly, the countermeasures and suggestions for system construction have certain maneuverability.
