Holding ShenBao in its early years(1872-1895) as an example, the dissertation discusses that in the 19th century how the newspaper interview form and that how the forming process influence on many aspects of newpaper in the Late Qing dynasty.The study based on the data analysis and texts reading of Shenbao. As the reviewing of The Chinese Shipping List & Advertiser, the North China and Huibao, and other different types of newspaper environment in the 19th century, the dissertation discusses how the forming interview effect the China press which three dimensions: The first one is the news practitioners, on their self awareness, news conception, professional standard and professional status; the second one is the the news source for newspapers self, on their content, operation and the internal structure. The third one is the idea of journalism, mainly about the impact of interview in news writing and editing philosophy.With the formation of the interview, on one hand, during the interviewer's practice with anonymous way to unknown public, the reporters obtained the professional right of writing and interpretation of a news event; On the other hand, the information was recorded as news by interviewing, news was made, and also defined by the activity of interview, which cause the paper presents a great change appearance. From the perspective of the profession, the interview would be comprehended again. Which would help for explaining that how professional journalism to form and defining the meaning of interview.
