Knowledge Reused Oriented Enterprise Modeling For Integrated Management Information Systems

Industry-orientation is an important research direction in the field of enterprise informatization applications. Constructing industry-specific reference model for enterprise engineering or enterprise integration will shorten implementation lifecycle of enterprise informatization and improve implementation quality as well. It supports the design and development of the next generation information system, which is batch customizable, self service friendly and industry version based system. The core question of developing industry oriendted enterprise informatization solution is to design the mechanisms, processes and methodology for effectively supporting the reuse of industry specific knowledge.By synthetizing theories and methodology in enterprise modeling, software reuse, knowledge management and model driven architecture (MDA) research fields, this paper systematically explores the enterprise modeling for knowledge reused oriented integrated enterprise management information systems. The contributions of this paper are:Based on the studing on existing enterprise reference architectures, this paper summarizes the modeling principles and features of knowledge reuse oriented enterprise modeling. Then, a knowledge reused oriented enterprise modeling framework for integrated management information systems was advanced and a component structure of enterprise models which was designed to effectively support the reuse of domain knowledge was put forward. This paper thinks an effective enterprise ontology classification scheme is one of most important pre-conditions of realizing domain knowledge reuse, and further classifies entperise ontologies into five categories, which are enterprise object ontology, organization ontology, resource ontology, process ontology and knowledge ontology, respectively.Industry or domain type is a kind of knowledge context which is indispensable for reusing knowledge about enterprise model. A knowledge reuse oriented framework for classifying entperises was constructed, which is composed of three dimensions including resource transformation, resource deployment and batch size. Then, knowledge context model for reusing knowledge of enterprise modeling was put forward, in which the rough set theory and methodology is used to solve the problems of expressing context knowledge, assessing context similarities and classifying and retrieving knowledge.On the basis of analysis on the levels of reusing enterprise model knowledge, the domain knowledge reuse pattern and the enterprise model knowledge evolvement pattern are advanced, and a knowledge reuse oriented, hierarchical business platform framework was constructed. The model architecture for business model driven information system development was presented by extending MDA model architecture. A technical scheme for business model driven constrution of enterprise management information systems is given. Finally, a typical process manufacturing industry - the cement industry was adopted as an instance to illustrate the application of the knowledge reuse oriented enterprise modeling theory in concrete industries' informatization.
