Nowadays, Computer network has become a basic platform for social informatization; it is an interconnection among various network resources, which include not only physical resources but also virtual ones. How to look up or discovery kinds of network resources in the Internet is very important for computer network, because it's the first step for any network computing. Along with the development of computer network architecture and applications, various naming and addressing systems continue to be developed, but how to research and develop the computer network resources naming and addressing technologies systematically hasn't be thought much of, the technologies in such research area are immethodical, and that, the inconsistencies between user requirement and the naming system R&D become serious increasingly.Based on the evolution of computer network architecture, this paper focused on the related technologies about computer network resources searching, discovery and addressing. Based on the analysis, summing-up and induction of typical systems, this paper proposed naming and addressing models in the Internet and designed systems; it made significant exploration on establishing architecture of this research area. All original ideas of this paper are listed as follows:1. Put forward the concept of computer network resources addressing technologies, and brought the related typical technologies into the system of computer network resources addressing research, it explained resource names and resource addresses, and their relationships, presented three basic factors of addressing system, and gave a layered architecture of naming and addressing technologies evolution.2. Proposed a layered iteration model of computer network resource naming and addressing, which consists of a general model,a structural application model based on general model, and a structural model for design an addressing system (once iteration). It analyzed the concepts of resource names, resource addresses, access rules, and addressing system formally in layered iteration model. Based on two typical distributed infrastructures of naming system: hierarchy-tree and centralized-flat topologies, this paper proposed a distributed infrastructure for keywords system, which named as"two-layer flat topology".3. Based on the research on SC/TC (Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese) equivalence and Chinese domain name SC/TC equivalence, this paper proposed a solution for Chinese domain name SC-only and TC-only equivalence, which is based on IDN-admin algorithm. And that, a Chinese domain names variant table was designed for implementing this solution.4. Proposed an agent-based Chinese domain name system. According to the layered iteration model and structural model of addressing system, this paper designed the structural model for this agent-based system, and gave two solutions based the model, which aimed to solve the Chinese domain name variant equivalent problems. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed layered iteration model and the structural model is very useful to deal with the difficulties that exist in such research area, and it is also helpful to design a new naming system.
