The Internet of Things (IOT) is the new network of integration of RFID with the Internet, and it has the similar requirement of the resource addressing as the Internet, which ensures the interrelated information of the thing in the IOT can be addressed, located and queried in an efficient, exact and secure manner. The special characteristics of the IOT make the differences between the resource addressing in the IOT and that in the Internet. There are some peculiar problems in the resource addressing in IOT, such as the conflict of the resource addressing caused by multiple code standards. So the IOT makes some new challenges to the existing technology of the resource addressing in the Internet, which can not totally meets the requirements of the IOT.The research of the resource addressing in the IOT is still in its infancy, and basically just uses the Internet's existing technology, so it cannot resolve the particular problems of the resource addressing in the IOT. By analyzing the property of the resource addressing in the IOT, this paper proposes the model of the resource addressing in the IOT by extending the model in the Internet, and discusses the particular problems of it. All original ideas of this dissertation include the following:1. The property of the resource addressing in the IOT is analyzed and summarized. This paper mainly analyzes the property of the resource name, the resource address and the mechanism of the resource addressing, and proposes the structure of the resource name is of its six particular features in terms of the resource addressing system, such as unity, decentralization, apprehensibility, inexplicability, variety and singularity. The resource address should provide the information used to transform the particular features of the structure of the resource name, and the the mechanism of the resource addressing should support the transformation.2. The model of the resource addressing in the IOT is proposed. This paper puts forward the general layered model of the resource addressing in the IOT based on the layered iteration model of that in the Internet and the property of the resource addressing in the IOT. The resource name is divided into the primal one and the modified one, and the resource address is extended to the resource address information which contains the standard structure information and the extending structure information by the model. The resource address information is used to transform the particular features of the structure of the resource name. This paper formally analyzes the model, and proves it is the extended model of the general layered model of the resource addressing in the IOT. Based on the model, this paper further puts forward the application architecture model of the resource addressing in the IOT, which can provide the theory for the following research on the key technology of the resource addressing in the IOT.3. A resource addressing solution in the IOT supporting any standard of the thing code is designed. This paper proposes a realization of the thing standard addressing layer, and puts forward two statement mechanism of the resource address information in the layer. This paper testes the performance, and proves the solution can effectively resolve the conflict of the resource addressing caused by multiple code standards in the IOT.4. Two discovery mechanisms for the item level information of the things in the IOT are proposed. The first one is the HS-TDM discovery mechanism, which is extended by Handle System protocol based on directory service mode, and it can support the authorization at different levels and the privacy protection. The second one is the HPS-TDM discovery mechanism, which is based on the hybrid P2P structure and the query propagation mode, and it can support the distributed management and query the discovery information.
