With the development of communication technology, the communication systems and modulation formats grow more and more abundant, at the same time, more and more dense do the communication signals traveling in space. The severe challenge has appeared in the information reconnaissance of military applications and the spectrum management of civilian communications. In military communication, in order to intercept the enemy intelligence for surveillance, track, threat confirmation, and interfere effectively, the presence detection and parameter estimation of the received signals must be accomplished firstly. In civilian communication, on the other hand, the authorities may implement spectrum management effectively for confirming legal signals. The content of the dissertation belongs to the communication reconnaissance scope of communication counterwork. The direct aim is to detecting the signals presence and estimating their parameter effectively on the condition of unknown or few known information. The problem of detection and parameter estimation of two digital modulation signals has been investigated in this paper; they are continuous phase modulation (CPM) and MPSK signal.Cyclostationarity is an important characteristic of most man-made modulation signals. In many signal processing, cyclostationary theory has more advantages than conventional signal processing methods. Many researchers have investigated the cyclostationary characteristic of communication signals since the 80 's of last century; however the cyclostationarity of continuous phase modulation signals has seldom been researched until today. In this dissertation, the cyclostationarity of CPM signals is investigated thoroughly, as well as, the technology of detection and "blind" parameter estimation is presented by using their corresponding cyclic spectral property. The main works may be summarized as follows:1 the comprehensive summarization of the cyclostationary theory and application including its origin, mathematic expression, application scope, calculation methods and realization, is provided.2 The signal model of continuous phase modulation is provided firstly,...
